What do you guys of Pam's exit from Dallas? I think that Pam had the worst exit ever for a character from a TV show. I, for one never bought the letter that she wrote to Bobby and Christopher about the reasons why she was adondoning Bobby and Christopher. I still think to this day that Pam was kidnapped by her sister Katherine.

I agree with you. When Pam exit Dallas the show died for me, the emotional and love centre disappeared from the show. No one could ever replaced Pam. I think she should have deserved a better storyline. What do you guys of Pam's exit from Dallas? I think that Pam had the worst exit ever for a character from a TV show. I guess it was hard for the writers to decide how to proceed for that exit because they were hoping VP returning one day or another so they had to keep Pam alive... On the other hand the fact VP has never returned make that exist understandable leaving Bobby & Chris (a child she would die for to have) alone... So I don't buy that exist too but I wouldn't have been in the writers shoes to decide how to exit Pam at that time!! ;D

I stopped watching after Pam's death. I thought the show revolved around good (Pam & Bobby) vs bad (JR). Every other character floated off of that axis. I didn't like the dream season because it was minus Bobby. In my storyline, Ewing Oil is dispanded after the Calhoun Affair. Bobby starts his own company with Pam as a financial partner.

Bruce, I LOVE your storyline idea for Bobby and Pam. You should think about writing a story about Bobby and Pam.

At different times I've written outlines of revisions to the show at different points in the series. Example, how the fire at Southfork could have been the catalyst to reconcile. The dinner date at the Bistro in early season 6 becomes an honest declaration of their love for each other. Or another example, after season 9, Pam does not get into her car accident. But Bobby and Pam start their own company. Far removed from interference from Cliff or JR.
I can't write a story, my writing style is wooden and cliched. I have no imagination to make it readable.

I also think that Pam should have told Bobby about JR coming to her hotel room and threatening her about getting back together with Bobby. My writing is wooden and cliched at best as well. Bruce, what do you think of the dream solution used to Bring PD back to the show? Bobby should have also asked Pam about the letter Katherine to him before he told he wanted a divorce in Thanksgiving Square.

Bobby definitely should have told Pam about the letter Catherine read to him. Imagine the shock and surprise on Pam's face.
Above you mention Bobby's reentry back into the show. There was not a good way to bring PD back as Bobby. They killed him. And to bring PD back as anybody other than Bobby would have been received even worse than the Dream sceario. Having season 8 be a dream allowed everyone to quickly turn the page. We know why Pam disappeared after her car crash, and didn't die. Obviously leaving the door open for a VP return.

Once Pamela (And Donna) left Dallas in Season 9, Dallas got very boring without two of my favourie characters.

I never forgive the writers how they wrote Pam out of the show! Worst written out of all time series. It destroyed tha show s future and destroyed the basic Romeo and Juliet story. Bobby became a girl thingy chaser and married April(who bedded both JR and Cliff), so Bobby became unreal. Pam disappeared, and left her husband and son. And told a lie, however there were modern plastic surgeons at that time. I always hoped that Pam was going to return as VP and I can not accept that it did not happened.

I never recovered after Pam left the show The show went downhill from that moment, it became something different, not what we were used to!! imagine Pam and Bobby going into the 90.s that would have been interesting, she left to soon thats for sure.. The way she left was horrible, its something that shouldn't happen !! I am watching season 9 the DVD count, and i am gonna miss Pam so much in about 50 episodes!!
