Gary is wrong but true to character. Lucy and Sue Ellen are the only ones I feel sorry for and Miss Ellie too. Maybe she can talk some sense into her son. This is so one of my favorites behind A Father's Secret. wonderful job

Chapter 10

Sue Ellen walked over to Lucy's room, and knocked on the door. Lucy didn't come to the door, or say anything, so Sue Ellen walked in.

"Lucy it is me Sue Ellen, can I come in"? Lucy was laying on the bed, she didn't answer, Sue Ellen walked over. She sat beside Lucy, and put her hand on Lucy's back.

"Go away, I don't want any of you around me".

"Lucy you shouldn't be alone, your upset".

"Your not my Mother, I don't have a Mother".

"Oh Lucy you do, she made a huge mistake, but she was scared. She was alone, your Daddy was having problems back then. She gave you to your Grandparents, out of love".

"Love you call leaving your baby and walking away love. You would you were not a Mother to John Ross". Sue Ellen got up, and yelled, "I'm sorry your hurting but I won't tolerate you treating me like this". Sue Ellen went to walk out of the room, and Lucy jumped off the bed, slamming the door shut. She ran into Sue Ellen's arms, "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't hurt you".

"Shh it is ok Lucy, you are right I wasn't much of a Mother back then. I had Pam and Miss Ellie back than, John Ross didn't know what happened he was to young. That is a blessing at least, but you have so much resentment in you Lucy. I know you and JR might never be friends, but he is sorry".

"My Daddy just walked away from me Sue Ellen. Is it my fault, that my Parents did what they did? I thought my Daddy would love me but he doesn't". Lucy was crying.

"Lucy your Daddy is drunk, let him sleep it off. He is hurting, but he never should have walked away like that Lucy".

"I have such a headache Sue Ellen".

"Here get in bed, I will get you something", Lucy laid down, as Sue Ellen got her some Tylenol and water. She walked over sitting down, handing Lucy the pills. Lucy put them in her mouth, and drank the water. She laid back, and Sue Ellen smiled, "you rest, I will come back later to check on you".

"Ok thank you".

Sue Ellen walked to the door, and Lucy yelled, " Sue Ellen".

"Yes Lucy".

"You are alright, John Ross is lucky". Sue Ellen smiled, "thank you Lucy, go to sleep". Lucy laid back, and Sue Ellen shut the door. Sue Ellen was walking to her room, when she heard yelling coming from Gary and Valene's room. Sue Ellen ran in, and Gary and Valene were yelling and screaming at each other.

"Shut up, Lucy is trying to sleep, she can't take anymore today".

Gary yelled, "You shut up Sue Ellen".

"Gary you walked away from your Daughter, it hurt her bad".

"I can't look at her without seeing Valene and JR, so don't give me a lecture".

Gary grabbed Valene, "Get out of this room, go sleep with JR".

Sue Ellen was shocked, " How dare you Gary"?

Valene yelled, "I'm not leaving until we talk", She sat on the bed, and Gary grabbed her pulling her to the door. Sue Ellen ran over, "Gary stop it, you will regret this later". Valene was crying, and Gary pushed her out in the hall. JR just walked up the stairs seeing the fighting. Sue Ellen walked out of his room, "Gary sober up, and go to your Daughter, and tell her your sorry".

Gary was still drunk he shoved Sue Ellen , she fell backward hitting her head off the door frame. She was shocked, and in pain when Valene ran over , "OMG Gary are you crazy"?

"I didn't mean to do that".

JR went into a rage, running at Gary, shocking Valene and Sue Ellen.

Chapter 11

JR was livid he knocked Gary on the floor, and he was punching him over and over. Valene ran over pulling him away, and JR screamed, 'you pushed my wife, you pathetic loser". Gary got up kicking JR, and they went at it. They were knocked into the dresser, and stuff shattered to the ground. Sue Ellen was shocked, she got herself off the floor her head was killing her. She knew if Lucy heard this she would be devastated. Sue Ellen walked over, "both of you stop it please, Lucy might hear". JR stopped, but Gary took his chance punching JR it the mouth. JR fell down, he was bleeding badly. Valene screamed when Sue Ellen ran at Gary, and punched him in the face. Gary fell on the bed, screaming vile names at Sue Ellen. She ran over, "That was a sucker punch, you really are something Gary".

"Get out of my room Sue Ellen, or I won't be a gentleman".

"A gentleman, have you ever been one. JR is what he is, but poor Gary he is so hard done by. You are a alcoholic just like me, I finally admitted it, why can't you"?

"I'm not like you Sue Ellen, you really are a joke".

"Fine Gary call me what you want, but what you did today was disgusting".

'What hitting him"?

"No walking away from Lucy, that hurt her badly". Valene walked over, "he walked away from her"?

"Yes, she was upset, and he walked away, and she was hurt". JR got up, "Gary if you ever touch my wife or Valene again, I will kill you".

Sue Ellen walked over, "JR lets go to our room, I will help clean you up".

"Yeah Sue Ellen go clean up JR, and later he can go out, and party with one of his lovers".

"Nice Gary, why don't you grow up". Sue Ellen says

Gary started to laugh, " Oh boy when I leave, is Valene going to stay in here JR. You both have to bond your Parents now, oh Sue Ellen don't you get jealous".

"JR I had enough, I'm going to my room, my head hurts". Sue Ellen was walking out, and Gary yelled, "Sue Ellen you know what JR is like, do you think him and Valene are just friends now"? Sue Ellen turned, "leave me alone, why do you want to hurt me so much? Why don't you go to bed, sleep it off, and go to Lucy and say your sorry. She wants her Daddy, and you are that at the moment. I'm really sorry to say this Gary, but Lucy would be better off with JR than you". Gary was shocked so was Valene, Gary ran over, "how dare you Sue Ellen"?

"You hurt her when she needed you the most, who would do that"?

"I can't stand looking at her, all I see is JR and Valene, it makes me sick". Valene yelled, "Shut up Gary".

"No, it is the truth, I will never look at Lucy the same way". Valene yelled, " OMG Lucy is at the door". Sue Ellen and Gary turned around, and Lucy had tears streaming down her face. She walked over to Gary, " You can't stand looking at me"?

"I didn't mean it that way, I'm drunk"

"I loved you Daddy, but you know what"?

"What Lucy"?

"You are not the man I thought you were, Sue Ellen is right your worse than JR". Lucy ran out, and Sue Ellen was crying as JR ran after Lucy. Gary sat on the bed, and Sue Ellen and Valene were crying.

Gary is a real jerk, I hope Lucy can get to know JR but I hope she and Gary can make up to. I felt sorry for him the way JR was going at him but he kind of deserved it too. This is so good Jessie you really are an amazing writer

Chapter 12

Gary was on the bed, and Valene walked over sitting beside him. I'm so sorry Gary please forgive me.

"I don't think I can, you slept with him Valene"

Sue Ellen is livid, "You both are sitting here, while Lucy is devastated, what kind of parents are you? I thought I was bad, but boy you both take the cake. Gary I know it was horrible, finding out Lucy isn't your biological Daughter, but she is your Daughter none the less. She adored you, and what you just said, do you really mean that"?

"I don't know stop asking me questions. If your husband keep his pants zipped up, none of this would be happening.

"You should have kept yours done up too do you even remember your lovely romantic encounter with Marilee in the barn"?

"It was a fling you had one with Barnes, and how many other men Sue Ellen"?

"This is really about Lucy not about us".

"No it is about my disgusting Wife, and Pig of a brother ruining my life". Sue Ellen turned and stopped when Jock and Miss Ellie walked in. "What is going on in this house, JR and Lucy are fighting in Lucy's room? We can't get in there JR locked the door. Sue Ellen went to run, and Jock grabbed her arm. "When JR gets out of the room, tell him to go to the condo, I don't want to look at his face right now".

"What your telling him to leave"?

"Yes, not you and John Ross him"

"Well we will go with him, why are you turning on JR now Jock"?

Miss Ellie walks over, "What he did Sue Ellen was wrong, don't you see that"?

"Yes, but they all were wrong, do they have to leave too"?

"No, they are staying maybe they can talk to Lucy with JR out of the house".

"He walked away from Lucy, and said hurtful things to her. JR was wrong for sleeping with Valene, but it was 17 years ago. She kept the secret, she should have told everyone 17 years ago. If you tell JR to leave today Jock, he might never forgive you"

"I'm sorry, it is Ellie's wishes, he has to go for now".

"Fine, if JR forgives you for this, I never will". Sue Ellen stormed out of the bedroom, and went to Lucy's room.

Miss Ellie walked over to Gary, "you will feel better once he is gone for a few days. You and Lucy and Valene can talk and really help each other through this. Why don't you rest, and get some sleep Gary"? Gary laid back, and shut his eyes, and Miss Ellie glared at Valene. Jock and Ellie were walking out, and Valene yelled, "Sue Ellen is right, they don't deserve to be kicked out of their home. It was my fault, I thought I was doing the right thing. I didn't I made things worse, I'm sorry but don't make them leave". Miss Ellie looked at Jock, " I think Gary needs time alone with Lucy, it is for the best". Ellie left and Valene looked at Jock she knew he really thought doing this to JR was a bad idea.

Sue Ellen was knocking at Lucy's door, she heard yelling but it was Lucy screaming. She started to cry, when the door finally opened. Sue Ellen walked in, and Lucy was sitting on a chair crying, and JR looked pale as a ghost.

"Are you both ok"?

"No take him away Sue Ellen, I don't want to talk to him".

"That is fine Lucy, your Grandparents want him to leave for a few days". Lucy looked at Sue Ellen, than JR who was shocked. "What did you say Sue Ellen"?

"They want you to go to the condo, but I'm not letting you go alone, I'm coming with John Ross".

"They told me to leave"?

"For Gary your Ma Ma wants Gary, Valene and Lucy to have time alone, without you around"

" OMG", JR ran out of the room, and went to his room. Sue Ellen walked over to Lucy who was crying. "I love you Lucy, but I have to be with my husband, but you can call me ok".

"Your leaving me Sue Ellen, I thought we were getting along".

"Lucy I'm so confused right now, I have to be there for JR. He was wrong but so was your parents. Why punish JR that is wrong, and I won't turn my back on him"?

"You really love him don't you"?

"Yes, Lucy I do, and I know he has hurt me, but this is wrong. I don't want to leave you now, but I have to go for JR". Lucy was crying when Sue Ellen walked to the door. Sue Ellen was walking to her room, when Lucy ran out, "Don't leave Sue Ellen please". She ran hugging her, and Miss Ellie, Jock and Valene all saw, and knew Lucy needed Sue Ellen at this moment, more than anyone.

Everyone is siding with Gary, I understand but he did something equally bad too. I dont think JR should have to leave the house. He should be encouraged to bond with Lucy. She is going to need him somewhere down the road but she definitely needs Gary, hopefully this time alone will help them. Love your writing

Chapter 13

Sue Ellen touched Lucy's face, " I will call you, I have to go be with JR".

Lucy ran over to Jock, "Grandpa tell her JR can stay" , Jock looked at Miss Ellie, who touched Lucy's arm. "Sweetie, you have to talk with your Parents, JR is making things worse".

"Why he didn't say he can't stand looking at me, Gary did".

"Gary Lucy he is your Daddy"

"He said it Grandma"

"He didn't mean it Lucy, we are not telling JR to move out. We want him to go away for a few days".

"Yes, but Sue Ellen is going to"

" She is welcome to stay here Sweetie". Sue Ellen screamed, "Don't you dare do that Miss Ellie, I won't be put on the spot. I have no choice to leave here, I won't allow JR to go alone".

Lucy started to cry, and ran in her room, slamming the door. JR walked out of the bedroom, with a suitcase. "Sue Ellen Lucy needs you, I will go you stay here with John Ross."

"No, I won't let you go alone, I'm your wife".

"I love you for this Sue Ellen, but I want you to stay here for Lucy". Valene walked over, "Don't go JR, this is wrong, please stay"

JR stared at Miss Ellie, "I'm leaving Ma Ma, but this is wrong, I personally don't deserve this". JR hugged Sue Ellen, he smiled, "I will call you tonight", he was walking to the stairs. Miss Ellie yelled, "wait don't leave I'm sorry". JR turned, " Really Ma Ma, Gary would be disappointed that you asked me to stay. Go to Gary, he needs you right now". JR walked downstairs, and Miss Ellie turned looking at everyone. Sue Ellen ran in her room, slamming the door, and Valene walked into her bedroom, shutting the door. Jock walked over, "Miss Ellie he will be back, he has to cool off".

"He thinks I sided with Gary, I didn't".

"You did Ellie, you always have, JR is your son too". Jock walked away, and went downstairs. Miss Ellie started to cry, she really hated seeing the look on JR's face. He was really hurt, what has she done"?

Lucy was crying when she heard a knock on her door. She got up opening the door, seeing Sue Ellen. "You didn't leave, I saw JR's car drive off"?

"He went alone Lucy, he is really hurt". Sue Ellen hugged Lucy and they both cried. They were talking, when John Ross came in the room. He asked where his Daddy was, and Sue Ellen smiled? "Daddy will be away for a few days he will call you tonight".

"He said he was going to throw the ball with me tonight he promised".

"I know Sweetie, but he must have forgot because something came up".

John Ross hugged his Mom, and Sue Ellen felt horrible. JR has been trying to be there for them both. She hated the thought of John Ross, thinking his Daddy deserted him again.

John Ross was walking to the door, really slow he was really sad. Lucy got up, "Hey I have the perfect idea"?

"What Lucy"?

"How about you , me and your Mom, go to your Daddy, and have dinner"?

John Ross smiled, Sue Ellen was shocked, but she jumped up, "you really mean that Lucy"?

"Yes, I heard what he did, he thought of me before himself. It is just dinner Sue Ellen, it isn't a family fun night".

Sue Ellen had tears in her eyes, "dinner is fine with me".

I like the idea of Lucy having dinner with JR but I hope she doesnt forget about Gary too because he really is her daddy after all. This just gets better all the time I know I say that lol but its true. please update soon
