A shoulder to cry on

Elaine had the worst day she woke up late for work. She dropped coffee down her new blouse that she paid two hundred dollars on, and she knew it was ruined coffee was a nightmare. She lost the important memo she hand wrote, and never got a chance to put in her computer so now she has to start all over again. She had only one thing to look forward to she had a date with a guy she met at the gym he was so sexy he made her sweat just being in the same room with him. She wanted him to ask her out she did everything in her power to get his attention, and when she got it she was thrilled to say the least. She came out of the bathroom she brought a new outfit to wear on her date when one of the secretaries came over telling her she had a call on line 1.

"I was on my way out can you take a message"

"He said he needed to speak to you it was urgent"

Elaine went to the phone, and said hello.

"Hey Elaine it is Terry"

"Terry I was just about to leave , I will be at the restaurant in about 15 minutes"

"Elaine I'm sorry but I can't meet you"

"What"?

"I was thinking maybe we jumped into this thing to fast. I'm sorry I don't think we should go out, but I will see you around maybe we can have a coffee someday"

"Whatever your loss Terry"

"I'm sorry"

Elaine hung up she was so angry how dare him say he changed his mind like she wasn't good enough for him. He is a fool she wiped a tear from her cheek, and sat down. She made reservations at the hottest place in town, and now she had no one to go with her. She was about to grab her coat but she turned looking at the phone, and decided to call her best friend.

"Hello"

"Jerry it is me Elaine"

"Elaine I thought you were going on your hot date with Mr. Sweat"

"Jerry are you busy tonight"?

"Kind of I have to wash my hair, and I was going to watch some stand up comedy acts"

"Jerry I was wondering if you could join me for dinner. I will treat you know that restaurant we were talking about the other day"

"Yeah the one I said it would cost a weeks pay to eat at"

"Yeah I have reservations , I don't want to go alone"

"What about your Date"?

"Jerry please don't ask it is embarrassing he said we jumped into things to fast, and he said he will see me around"

"Oh Elaine I'm sorry"

"Me too forget it Jerry maybe I should just go home, and go to bed"

"No I will meet you at the restaurant in about half an hour or so is that ok"?

"Yes that would be fine I will see you there Jerry"

"Elaine"

"Yes"

"He is a fool he doesn't know what he is missing"

"Jerry"

"Be there soon Elaine, and no talking about Mr. Sweat he isn't worth it"

'Deal"

Jerry hung up, and ran to the bathroom to get dressed as Elaine hung up, and smiled. This night just might be memorable after all. She grabbed her purse, and left work to grab a cab to the Restaurant to meet Jerry.

Chapter 2

Jerry took a cab over Macy's Lounge the driver stopped he paid the fare, and got out. He looked around he didn't see Elaine but she could be inside he walked in. He walked in and asked if Elaine Benes has arrived. They said she has not arrived but they will seat him , and once she arrived they will bring her right over. Jerry sat down he looked around this place was pretty amazing, and he smiled thinking how much a steak would cost in this place. He never really worried about money but George would never step foot in here unless someone was treating. The waitress came over, and asked him if he would like to have something to drink while he waited. He knew it might not look proper if he ordered a beer so he looked at the wine menu. He was not a really big wine person so he asked the Waitress what is the most popular here. Riesling and Chardonnay or the Pinot Grigio are some of the most Popular.

Seinfeld smiled, "Chardonnay sounds great thanks". She walked away Jerry hoped Elaine would arrive soon he felt a little out of place here. He was looking at his phone when he saw Elaine walk up to the table. He stood up he almost dropped his phone she was stunning he has never seen her look more beautiful. She smiled Jerry helped her pull her chair out as she sat down. He walked around sitting down as the Waitress asked her if she would like something to drink.

"Jerry did you order something"?

"Yes a Chardonnay"

"I will have the same thanks" The waitress walked away Jerry was looking at Elaine not really saying anything.

"Jerry are you OK"?

"Yes I'm fine Elaine you look amazing"

"Thank you I bought this dress , and it is nice I have a place to wear it. I can't return it they say it was a final sale that is my life Jerry. I thought maybe my life was going to be different but I guess things will never change for me"

"Elaine you have a great life you have a new man every week. You are beautiful, your health is good, and you have a great job so really you can't complain girl"

"You are clueless sometimes Jerry"

"Elaine you are to young to be going through the change"

Elaine smiled, "No I am not going through the change Jerry. I am getting older , and being alone isn't fun anymore Jerry"

"What are you talking about we are having the time of our lives Elaine."

"I'm not I want more than the fun times, and I'm tired of going home to a lonely apartment every night I want to settle down, and I need to grow up to do that"

Jerry was speechless Elaine smiled, "I'm freaking you out your eyes look like they are going to pop out of your head. Don't worry Jerry I didn't bring you here for a proposal but I'm going to be honest with you, and after you can walk away, and forget every word I said tonight"

Jerry smiled but Elaine was so nervous but she looked around the waitress finally was coming over with the wine. She put the glasses down Elaine took her glass, and took a sip than put it down. She was trying to get the courage to say what she should have said years ago.

Great update Jessie. Jerry and Elaine are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I really hope that things work out for Jerry and Elaine in your awesome story. I love that Elaine is standing up for herself in this story and that she telling Jerry what she wants and needs from him. Chapter 3

Jerry was staring at Elaine she was never a person that was shy but right this moment he could see she was having a hard time saying what she obviously invited him here to say. His mind was going all over the place. He knew what he was hoping for but he was not going to act like a fool, and assume anything.

'Elaine you know you can tell me anything, I am always here for you"

"Really Jerry"

"Elaine did I do something to upset you"?

"No you did nothing wrong, I'm just upset and I'm taking it out on you"

"Hey I am tough I can handle it" Jerry said as he smiled but Elaine didn't laugh. Jerry reached over, and touched her hand she was scaring him now. He hoped she was not sick he couldn't handle that. He always knew she would be a friend but he wanted more but he came to terms with them just being close friends.

"Jerry I know I need to just say what I have wanted to say for years. I need for you to listen, and don't say anything until I finish"

"Thank God Kramer and George are not here we would have a problem" Jerry said smiling

"Jerry please be serious"

"Ok I was trying to make you smile I will be quiet just tell me what you need to say"

"You remember the day we met"?

Jerry was confused was he suppose to say yes he just stared, and he was happy when she went on, and he listened wondering what she was going to say next.

"Jerry I have spent my whole life looking for love, and I found it, and I gave it up, I was such a fool. I never felt more loved than when I was in your arms, you made me laugh, and you made me feel so special, and I got scared."

Jerry was speechless he couldn't talk if he wanted to she wiped a tear from her face. She noticed people staring at her, and she wanted to get up, and run out of this place but she could not turn back now.

"Jerry you were the one, and I'm so sorry that I gave up on us, I was a fool. I know I don't have a right to ask you to give me another chance but I'm begging you to think about it at least"

Jerry finally spoke, "Elaine I don't know what to say"

"Oh God this was a mistake you never loved me that way did you"? Elaine grabbed her purse pulling out money to put on the table but Jerry got up, and told her to stop, and listen to him.

"Jerry I don't want the pity talk I need to go home, and I need to go eat a pint of ice cream, and crawl in bed, and die"

"You must know I have always loved you Elaine, I wanted you from the first moment we kissed but I thought you didn't want me that way. I respected your wishes but I died a little when you went on your dates, and told me about the things you did with those men."

"You did the same Jerry we are the exact same"

"We were fools , and I was not expecting this tonight but I think we should get out of here, and go back to my place, and talk about this without this audience"

Elaine looked around everyone was staring at them, Elaine put the money on the table . She stood up Jerry reached out his hand to her she took it as they both left the restaurant, and got in a cab to go to Jerry's place.

Great update Jessie. Eliane and Jerry are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I am so glad that Jerry and Elaine have admitted how they feel about each other. In a room full of people. I can't wait for their talk back at Jerry's place. I hope you update this awesome story again really soon.

I so hope Elaine and Jerry wind up together in this awesome story. It is a favorite, I've been watching Seinfeld this morning to cheer me up. I think its funnier the more you watch it. Anyways, thank you for updating and I look forward to more as always.
