Forgive Me - Short Story

Here is a short story you might love Sanda. I'm having a hard time writing hope you enjoy it.

Forgive me

Luke went to Oakdale Memorial he wanted to talk with Reid but he hoped Reid didn't tell him to get lost. Luke broke up with Noah over 2 weeks now, but he didn't have the nerve to tell Reid because the last time they spoke Reid said he was so over caring for him. Luke knew it was his own fault he was sending mixed messages to both Noah, and Reid, but it was obvious he made the worst mistake of his life. If he lost Reid for good he would die, he needed to make things right. Luke walked to Reid's office, and noticed he was not there. He walked over to the Nurse's Station, and asked if Reid was in surgery or had the day off.

"Reid is off ill he has not felt good for a few days now, and went home Wednesday, and Dr Hughes said he will be off a few more days"

"Thanks" Luke walked down the hall, and went to Bob's office, and knocked on the door.

"Come in"

"Hi Bob are you busy"?

"A little but I have time for you is something wrong Luke"?

"No but I hear Reid is sick is it serious"?

"He had a bit of a flu bug, but I'm sure he will be OK"

"I was worried when the Nurse said he was sick"

"Luke can I ask you a question you don't have to answer if you think it is to personal"

"Of course"

"Reid is a very strong man but he cared for you, I know he doesn't express his feelings well but it was obvious to everyone he cared for you Luke, I would even go as far to say he was falling in love with you. I know you chose Noah , and that is your choice, but why are you here asking about Reid, he doesn't need you to come back in his life only to walk out of it again"

"Bob I was in love with Noah, but things happened between us , I think it was over between us even before Reid came into my life. I never really had someone I could really truly say loved me for me, I wanted that person to be Noah, but I was fooling myself. Reid cared for me, and I knew it, but I hurt him, and I hate myself for it. I don't know how I'm going to make it up to him, but I wanted to tell him I'm free"

"You and Noah are no longer together"

"No he is leaving next week he has a new Job in New York. He came home to tell me, and he didn't ask me to join him. I was devastated, and he came up with a lame reason why he didn't ask. He said my family would be hurt, an he knew I would never leave Oakdale, I would do anything for the man I love, but I realize now the man I really love is Reid, and I know I don't deserve his forgiveness, but I hope he can find it in his heart to forgive me"

"Go see him Luke you never know he might"

Luke smiled, "Maybe he will forgive me it is Christmas time, and just maybe he will feel pity for me"

"Luke I hope your wish comes true, and I hope you can bring the old Reid back"

"Back what do you mean"?

"He has changed I miss his Grumpy and rude, but funny at times comments. He comes to work, and does his job well, but he barely talks , and I would take a rude comment over his silence anytime."

"Thanks I will go see him what is the worst he can do"?

"Bring him something good to eat that may help"

"Yeah my thoughts exactly thanks Bob"

"Good Luck Luke"

Luke left, and got in his car, and drove over to Katie's house.

Great start to your new story Jessie. I hope that Reid will find it in his heat to forgive Luke. Luke is an idiot for chosing Noah over Reid.

Chapter 2

Luke drove over to Reid's house he felt foolish, but he stopped at the Bakery, and bought some chocolate chip cookies, and a cheesecake, he prayed favourites of Reid's. His Grandma Emma always says a way to a man's heart is with a good meal, and some loving. Luke smiled as he knocked on Katie's door, and waited for someone to answer. He almost ran away but the door opened, and he was surprised when he saw Reid standing there wearing a housecoat, and he looked terrible.

"Reid I came to see if your OK, and I brought you some cheesecake, and chocolate chip cookies, I hope you like them"

"I'm sick, and you bring me cookies, and cheesecake what is wrong with you Luke"?

"Oh I didn't realize, I should have maybe brought you soup, but I thought soup is kind of boring, but maybe you can put this cheesecake in the fridge , and have it another time when your feeling better"

Reid stood looking Luke smiled, "Can I come in or are you going to make me sit out out here , and freeze to death"?

"Well your standing, and it isn't that cold out there it would take a long time for you to freeze to death"

Luke smiled, "OK your upset with me should I go"?

"Yeah maybe but leave the cookies, and cheesecake, I could use some energy right about now"

Luke handed Reid the cheesecake box, and the cookies, but Reid told him to come in for a little while. Luke came in Reid walked to the kitchen, and put the cheesecake on the counter, and opened the box, and grabbed a fork, and took a piece, and put it to his mouth. Luke stood with his mouth open, and finally said.

"You are not going to eat that all in one sitting are you"?

"This was a gift for me right so why are you mad that I'm eating it"

"I am not mad, I'm worried about you, I would hate to see you sick again"

"I'm fine I don't need your pity Luke"

"You think I pity you Reid , I'm here trying to say sorry don't you see that"?

"Sorry for what you made your choice I'm fine with that"

"Reid if I told you I broke up with Noah would that make a difference to you"

"I don't know what you want me to say Luke"?

"Do we have a chance at making it right this time or should I walk out that door, and never come back"

Reid turned, and started to eat again making Luke turn he was not going to show Reid how disappointed he was. He grabbed his coat, and was walking to the door.

"I'm going to go Reid, I hope you will be better real soon, I'm so sorry I bothered you"

Luke was half way out the door when Reid got up, and yelled out his name.

"Luke wait"

Luke turned, Reid walked over Luke could see he was having a hard time showing his feelings but Luke could see he still cared, but Luke was not going to say anything that would ruin any chance of Reid letting him back in his life.

"Yes Reid"

"You don't have to leave you could have a cookie, I could make you a coffee or you can make one yourself"

Luke smiled, "Yeah I could make us both a coffee"

"Well shut the door before you let all the cold air in the place"

Luke came in, and shut the door, he walked over to Reid who pointed to the kitchen, and Luke walked ahead of him with a big smile on his face.

Chapter 3

Reid sat on the couch with the cheesecake in his lap. Luke sat down, and smiled as Reid smiled back.

"Reid can we start over, and see where this goes"

"Well you made a great start this cheesecake is really good"

"Maybe you should slow down on the cheesecake, I really would hate to see you sick again"

"You really care about me Luke"

"Yes is that a surprise, I have been in love with you for so long. If I am going to be honest that first time, I met you my heart was beating so fast. You were so sexy, and a little older than me, and I thought you were so different, and I loved that"

Reid smiled, "Me sexy I doubt that"

"Oh yes especially when you wear those tight black jeans that fit that cute butt of yours just perfect"

Reid started to cough he swallowed his cheesecake to fast.

"Luke why are you talking like this"?

"Like what I wanted to tell you I think I fell in love with you the first moment we met"

"How could you fall in love with me, I was horrible"?

"You had a attitude that was kind of annoying, but kind of sexy at the same time"

"What is it with you , and the word sexy, I know I am not sexy"

Luke took the cheesecake from his hand, and put it on the coffee table.

"What are you doing Luke I was eating that"?

Luke put his finger to Reid's lips, and whispered, "Kiss me if you ever had feelings for me"

Reid smiled, "Like you didn't know I had feelings for you, I basically threw myself at you Luke"

"God kiss me already"

"I see you are bossy Richie Rich"

Luke was tired of waiting he pushed Reid back, and moved over him as his lips came crashing down on Reid's. They both smile at each other as Luke smiled as he pulled off his tee shirt making Reid touch his chest.

"Luke are you sure you want to do this there is no going back once we"

Luke didn't let him finish he whispered, "I have wanted you ever since that day at the Hotel when I dropped my towel hoping you would follow me into the bathroom"

"I knew you were trying to get me going, and you did you were awful"

"I thought I would get you all worked up, and follow me"

"It killed me not to but I was trying to be dignified"

Luke smiled, "Well we have our whole lives ahead of us but are you up to having a afternoon delight"?

"What are you treating me to lunch"?

"For someone that is so smart you are dumb sometimes your delight is a afternoon alone with me"

"Oh you mean me , and you in my room right now"

Luke got up pulling Reid up as they kiss, Luke was lifting Reid shirt as they continued kissing. Their hands were roaming places making them both lose control. They smile just as the door opened, and Katie, and Chris came in with Jacob. Reid grabbed his tee shirt pulling it on, and Luke grabbed his as Katie told Chris to take Jacob out to the car to get the rest of the groceries. Jacob ran over to his Uncle Reid, and showed him a picture he made. Reid took it, and smiled as Jacob said it was a picture of Reid playing golf.

'Thank you Jacob, I will post this in my office at work"

"Is Luke staying for dinner we are having Taco's my favourite, but Mom is having Salad too"

Reid smiled, "I think I'm going to go out for a while with Luke, but I promise I will take you out to McDonald's on Thursday will you like that"?

"Oh yes McDonald's is my favourite"

Chris yelled over to Jacob, 'Come with me, and help me grab the stuff from the car"

"Oh ok" Jacob ran over to Chris as they went outside, Reid was a little uncomfortable.

'Katie I'm sorry you walked in on us nothing happened"

"Reid something was about to happen"

"This isn't Reid's fault I came over, and we made up, and we were kissing"

"Luke I'm not angry, I'm glad you finally came to your senses"

Reid smiled, "Katie you came home early , I never would have allowed Jacob to see anything inappropriate"

"Jacob didn't notice anything beside you were just kissing why don't you both stay for dinner"?

"Katie can I have a rain check I would like to take Luke out to dinner so we can talk"

"Are you going to bring him home after"

"Stop I am going to get dressed, and I'm not talking about this anymore" Reid almost ran to his room to change, Luke smiled as Katie walked over to him, and whispered.

"Don't you hurt him Luke because if you do I will not be happy"

Luke smiled but he was a little scared Katie really cared about Reid, and it showed. Chris and Jacob came in, and Katie took the bags, and walked to the kitchen with them. Jacob followed her asking for ice cream which he knew his Mom would not give him any before dinner but Reid would.

Chris walked over to Luke, "Sorry we ruined your moment"

"Nothing happened Chris"

"Something was about to happen I am not blind"

"Please don't bug Reid Chris but I think maybe we are going to be ok"

"I'm happy for you both, I know I don't act like I care but don't tell Oliver this but I think he is a ok"

Luke smiled, "Why don't you tell him"?

"No it would ruin all the fun"

"Don't worry I will not tell him you care"

"Thanks but Luke are you really over Noah"?

"Noah will always be someone I care about but I want to be with Reid. I can honestly say I love the guy"

Chris smiled, "I think Reid loves you too Luke but remember he can be annoying"

Luke smiled as Reid walked up behind Chris, and said.

"Who is calling who annoying Doogie Hughes"

"Oh Grumpy take it easy I was just talking with Luke"

Luke walked over, "Oh Grumpy lets get going we know you get cranky without your food"

Reid smiled as he took Luke's hand, and than he said goodbye to Chris , Katie, and Jacob as they left. Jacob ran over sitting on the couch turning the TV on when Chris looked over at Katie. She started to cry, and he walked over wrapping his arm around her, and asked her what was wrong?

"I'm happy for them , I really am but he is going to move out, I just know it"

"Well he is not going to leave Oakdale if he does but he is happy did you see his face"

"Yes he truly deserves to be happy, and I hope Luke treats him right"

"I'm sure he will don't you worry about that"

Katie smiled, "You sit with Jacob, and I will go start dinner"

"Ok" Chris walked over to Jacob, and sat down as Katie went into the kitchen. She was so happy for Reid, but at the same time she was sad knowing he would move out, and she knew she would miss her talks with him but even more she knew her sweet boy would miss him too.

Cute update Jessie. Reid, Luke, Katie, Jacob, and Chris are so cute and adorable together in this story. I am so happy that Reid and Luke made up but I feel bad for Katie and Jacob when Reid moves out of their house and he moves in with Luke. Oh my god, Katie, Jacob, and Chris have lousy timing walking inin on Reid and Luke as they were about to walk to Reid's bedroom and have sex. Thank you so much for writing this awesome Reid and Luke story for me and for keeping them alive for me in all of your awesome stories and one shots. I miss Reid and Luke so much.

Chapter 4

Reid and Luke walked to the cars, and Luke wrapped his arms around Reid and said.

"Lets take my car you can just relax, and pick the restaurant you want"?

Reid smiled as he got in Luke's car. Luke was surprised he thought Reid would want to use his car but he was not complaining. He ran around getting in the car, and he started the car but asked Reid where he wanted to go?

Reid knew where he wanted to go but for the first time in his life he was scared to say what was on his mind. Luke could see he was wanting to say something but something was holding him back.

"You feel ok Reid your not sick are you"?

"No I am fine but I don't want to go to a restaurant"

"Really I thought you wanted to take me somewhere to eat"

"Oh we can eat but I want to go somewhere where no one knows us, and we can talk, and order in food"

"You want to go to my place"?

"No I want to drive until we see a nice Hotel that we can spend the night, and not worry about what is going on in Oakdale. We need to have some alone just the two of us. I don't want to go to a Hotel someone we know owns. I don't need to see the shock in their eyes that you are with me. I really don't need to run into anyone in your family. They hate me but I don't care about that because I love you and if you really care about me to you will agree we need some alone time to talk, and see where this is going to go"

Luke smiled as he touched Reid's leg and said, "I know where it is going to go"

Reid looked at Luke but said, "I don't want to be treated like a sex object, I want to know you will respect me in the morning"

Luke smiled, "You serious"

"Yes you think I am sexy and I need to know you love me for me not like a sex toy to play with"

Luke was confused and said, "Fine I will make you realize I love you and I will respect you in the morning"

Reid and Luke couldn't stop laughing as Luke started the car, and drove off so they could find a hotel or Motel they both liked.

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Luke are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I hope Reid and Luke are able to find a motel that they both like and that they take their relationship to the next level because they belong together forever. I think it would be super cute if Reid and Luke stopped off at Wal-Mart on the way to the hotel of their liking so they can get some snacks and a fresh set of clothes for their adult sleepover at the hotel of their choice.
