She was even more beautiful than Jan who broke his heart. He made advances at Jessie whenever he could. She didn't want to hurt him but her heart belonged to another. She hated herself for it but she was in love with a married man
He was sweet kind handsome and treated her better than any of her other boyfriends had. He was down on his luck so that's. Why she didn't pressure him. David hi would you like to speak to Michael?
A actually I was hopi.g we could have lunch before I speak to him Meet you at Antonio's?
Sure ill be there in a few.
Jessie was that david Wallace on the phone? Michael asked.
Yes but he's. Ot in a good mood Better let me handle this, Jessie responded as she grabbed her car keys.
Good idea Jessie last thing I need is him breathing down my neck. Give him my best.
She waved goodbye and then quickly arrived at the restaurant. David greeted her witb a hug and a kiss.
Hi David what's wrong? I missed you, jessie said.
I've been fired, he replied. Calmly.
What? Jessie was in shock. How could they do that to you?
Dunder mifflin has been bought out by a company called sabre. They dont need me anymore.
Jessie felt like crying. But What about us? Does this mean we're through?
I don't k.ow. I dont know anything anymore. All I know is you and my kids are the only things in my life worth living for. I don't know what I would do if I lost you Jessie.
You wont lose me. David I love you and want what's best for you. Do you want me to quit?
No no people would talk and it would get back to Marie. The laat thing I could handle is a divorce right now
She frowned. She hated hearing his wife's name. Just another reminder that she couldn't have all of david even though she. Gave him everything a man could want. But now wasn't the time to bring that up. She loved him and would wait as lomg as it took even if it killed her.

Chapter 3 Jessie I hope you are having a good day Jessie was shocked when she saw David. He looked disheveled, depressed and all around in a state of shock. She was more than worried about him. She knew the economy was tough, and it would be hard finding such a good job as Dunder Mifflin CEO. She had assumed that he would bounce back, but judging by the look of things, now Jessie wasn't so sure about that anymore. And if his future was in question, did that mean he was questioning his relationship with her? Now David wasn't the only one who was scared. “Hi Jessie I'm glad you made it,” David walked up and embraced her. “I'm so sorry. I had no idea this was going to happen. Would it make you...never mind.” “Go ahead Jessie, tell me what you have in mind.” “Would it make you feel better if I quit my job? I mean I don't want to be associated with people who would do this to you.” “No Jessie, you have a daughter to support. It wouldn't make any sense if you were to lose your income for me. I love you for the idea though.” She looked at him in surprise. “You love me?” He laughed. “I guess I do. It took me long enough, didn't it?” “It felt like forever,” she grinned as they took their seat at the restaurant table. “Jessie, I know you're probably wondering where things stand with us.” “David I don't want to be selfish. Maybe now's not the time.” “I think it needs to be addressed. I'm sure you're wondering where we stand.” She nodded. “The thought has crossed my mind.” “I guess...I guess now you know how I feel about you. But I'm not in the position I was a few weeks ago, just yesterday. I don't want to hurt you but I kind of need Marie right now. I would die if I lost my kids. But I feel the same way about you.” He sighed, running his hands through his hair then taking off his glasses. “Do you want me to leave Marie? Because if that's what you need from me I'll do it.” Jessie's heart raced. This was the moment she had been waiting two years for. But now that he offered, it didn't seem like such a good idea. “David, the last thing I want to do is to take advantage of you when you're down...” He grabbed her hand. “You're so sweet. I feel like I'm the one taking advantage of you. I mean, I know that Tiffany's not mine, but I've gotten so attached to her, I feel as if she's one of my own. I realize I'd been neglecting you when...well, you know. I just feel like I owe so much to you.” “I don't want you because you feel sorry for me,” Jessie looked away. “Jessie, Jessie, Jessie, that's not what I meant. I meant you gave me back my life. I love my kids but with Marie, I hadn't been happy in a long time, in years maybe. And then you came along and changed all of that. I want to thank you and I don't know how...” She squeezed his hand. You already have, she thought to herself. If he only knew her secret, then she had a feeling things would change, maybe for the better, but maybe for the worse. No, Jessie was more determined than ever to keep her secret from David.

ch 4 Jessie got home and paid her babysitter then went in to check on her year old daughter Tiffany. She wasn't walking yet, but still Jessie worried about her crawling out of her crib. Tiffany was awake and smiled broadly at her mother, so Jessie picked her up then sat down in the rocking chair..
“Oh, David,” Jessie sighed. “If you only knew.”
She looked at her daughter then closed her eyes. It was true, Tiffany was David's daughter, but she hadn't told him the truth for a good reason. She knew David had clout- he could take away her daughter if he wanted to. She didn’t' necessarily think he would do that, but she had heard stories of men doing that to women, and she knew she couldn't live without Tiffany. Also she loved David, and didn't want him too think she had gotten pregnant on purpose, so she told him that she had had a one night stand. David was upset at first until Jessie had said she was lonely. He couldn't fault her for that- he had someone at home every night, so certainly he couldn't use that against her.
It was a shock when she had gotten pregnant. She had gotten the birth control shot, but still had managed to get pregnant. Jessie thought of Tiffany as her little miracle baby. Jessie's mother was happy to become a grandmother, but didn't know the truth of the circumstances. Jessie knew her mother would be devastated if she knew that her daughter was seeing a married man, so she just told her mother she had made a mistake, and they left it at that.
Normally she wasn't the kind of girl to get involved with a married man. She knew nothing but heartbreak could come of it, but still she fell in love. It all started so simply. David had asked her along to a conference to take notes for him, his secretary was out sick, and she had agreed. They'd taken a two hour long car trip and had gotten to know each other pretty well. At first she was intimidated by him, but soon found him to be charming and quite nice. He complimented her after the meeting, saying he should steal her away from Michael. She liked that, even though she knew she would never tell Michael that. Michael was gone now anyways, he was married and living in another state. Andy was the new boss, and even though it had taken a while to get used to him, she found that she really enjoyed her job.
Jessie kissed her daughter's forehead. She was kind of mad at herself. Her daughter didn't have a father, and it was all her fault. If only she had been more careful, if she didn't have that first glass of wine at the hotel room....
Jessie thought about what David had offered- to leave his wife. That was what she had been dreaming of for two years, so why did she refuse him? She did kind of feel bad for him, he was in a bad position. And she did want Tiffany to know her father. But it all came to Tiffany. She had to protect her daughter, no matter what, and if it meant losing the love of her life, well, that was just a chance she was going to have to take.

ch 5
So Jessie decided to take a little break, at least for the day. She called off work, saying her daughter was sick, but in actuality she was taking Tiffany to McDonald's to play in the play area. David was still in New York, so she knew that her secret was still safe, at least for another day.
Every time he'd asked to see pictures of Tiffany, Jessie had refused him. Tiffany looked so much like him, from his dark wavy hair to his thin- lipped smile. And it was just recently where she'd learned that Tiffany would also need glasses, as her father had. This was getting harder and harder to hide, but with everything at stake, she had to look out for her daughter's best interest.
As Jessie watched Tiffany play, she sighed to herself. How in the world had she let herself get in this position? In a way she had Michael to thank for it. He was the one who'd invited her to go along to New York for a conference with him and David. Michael was off doing who knew what with Jan, leaving her all alone with David. A few drinks later and the next thing Jessie knew was that she was pregnant.
Jessie was smiling to herself, lost in the memories, when her daughter, crying, ran up to her.
“Tiffany, what's wrong?”
“Mommy, the other kids were making fun of me!”
“Why in the world would they do that?”
“I said I didn't have a daddy and they all laughed at me. They said everyone has a daddy. What's wrong with me, Mommy? Why don't I have a daddy like all the other kids do?”
Jessie took a deep breath, trying not to cry herself. “Honey, you do have a daddy. It's just...complicated.”
“Don't you think he would love me?”
“Yes, honey. I know he would. Just give Mommy a little time and then maybe I can let you meet your daddy.”
Tiffany hugged Jessie. “Thanks, Mommy. You're the best mommy in the world!” then she ran off to play again.
It was going to be the hardest thing she ever had to do, breaking the news to David. But Tiffany was right- it wasn't fair that all the other kids had daddies and she didn't. She had everything to lose, but all she wanted was to make her daughter happy, and if telling David the truth meant Tiffany's happiness, then so be it.
TBC
i'm sorry Jessie that it's taken me so long to update. I hope you like this.
