One meeting too many

NCIS Short Story

Gibbs, and the team were coming back from a recent murder scene, and Ziva, and Tony were fighting as always when Gibbs shut the elevator off. McKee smiled as Gibbs glared at Tony, and Ziva making them stop bickering.

"Why don't you two hook up it is obvious you have sexual frustration, just do it, and move on"

Tony whispered, "Sorry Boss"

Gibbs turned to turn the elevator on when Ziva smacked Tony upside the head. Gibbs yelled , "What now"?

"I couldn't resist " Ziva said but Gibbs turned, "The elevator is stuck it isn't moving"

"Oh God no Boss you are kidding"

"Do I look like I'm kidding McGee"

"You shouldn't have your meetings in the elevator boss, you better get this elevator going now"

Tony smiled, "Oh McGee is scared"

"I hate being in closed spaces you be quiet Tony or I will kill you"

"OK calm down we will be out of here in a minute" Gibbs said

McGee shut his eyes leaning against the wall. Gibbs grabbed the elevator phone while Tony called the front desk on his cellphone. They were told they were looking into the elevator malfunction they just have to stay tough.

"There is to many people in this elevator we are going to run out of air" McGee yelled

"If you don't stop McGee I will knock you out, and we will not have to listen to your whining" Gibbs said

McGee sat on the floor, and tried to calm down. Tony sat down, and Ziva sat beside him.

"Probie you will be fine"

"Tony not now"

"I'm trying to help"

"Your not"

"OK I will shut up"

"Like you can " Ziva smiled as Tony whispered, "You started all this so be quiet"

"I didn't start nothing it is your big mouth Tony"

"Enough all of you will you shut up"

They stare at each other, and Gibbs sat down whispering, "This is a nightmare"

"This is like a sleepover Boss" Tony said, and Gibbs looked at him, but laughed making the others laugh too.

"Guys it is hot in here". McGee said.

"We will be out soon, so lets just relax because we will be working overtime because of this"

"I have a date Boss"

"Really Dinozzo"?

"Oh I guess I can cancel"

"You think Tony"

Ziva laughed, and Gibbs whispered, "You are happy he is going to spend the evening with you"

"No Boss I'm really not looking forward to this"

"How can this be happening"? Gibbs said, and Tony whispered, "Well you shut the elevator down maybe once to many times"

"If I had the energy I would get up, and smack you upside the head until you shut up"

"Sorry Boss"

McGee phone went off, and he grabbed it, and whispered, "It is Abby"

"Hey Abby"

"I hear a rumor Gibbs , and Tony are stuck on the elevator"

"Yeah me and Ziva are on here too, Abby are they even trying to get us out of here"?

"Well yeah but I just heard the guy trying say it may be a few hours you are stuck between floors, and he said he is trying to figure out what is going on"

"Tell them to hurry up"

"Poor Baby you hate being trapped you must be freaking out"

"I will be in a minute if you don't stop telling me I'm trapped"

"Tell Gibbs I'm still working but I'm really distracted now"

"Bye Abby keep me informed"

"I will bye McGee, and give Gibbs, and Tony a hug for me"

"What about Ziva "?

"Give her a hug too"

McGee hung up, and Tony smiled, "Awe Abby cares about you Probie"

"She is worried about us, she wants me to give you all a hug, but that is not happening"

Tony smiled, "Awe Abby will be angry"

Gibbs laughed as Tony smiled, but said he would shut up.

Chapter 2

Everyone was quiet, Tony stared at McGee, and then shut his eyes.

"Tony why are you looking at me like it is my fault"

"I am looking at you because we are stuck in a elevator, stop whining McGee"

"God we had 1 hour before we could leave for the day, I had a hot date, and now that is ruined" Ziva said making Tony whisper, "You have a date with who"?

"Is it your business"?

"Well kind of in our job we should know everything about our partners"

"Yes work related not personal Tony you would be the last person I would tell my personal business too"

"Fine Ziva who cares who you date"

"You obviously do Tony" Ziva said

Gibbs stands up , "Will you both stop this is so immature"

McGee started to laugh, and Gibbs sat beside him, and whispered, "Same goes for you McGee"

"Boss what did I do it is them they are fighting like teenagers in love"

"Oh I had so much fun as a teenager, I have stories that would make your head spin" Tony said smiling

"Yeah I'm sure I would be sick" Ziva said as Tony pulled out a chocolate bar out of his pocket.

"Well now that I know who my friends are I'm not sharing this with any of you"

"What about me Dinozzo"? Gibbs said

"Sure Boss I will share with you". Gibbs reached over, and grabbed the bar out of his hand, and started eating it.

"Boss I said share"

"I don't like sharing beside I didn't have lunch so this is hitting the spot".

McGee, Ziva, and Tony watched as Gibbs started to eat, and he smiled as he finished the last piece putting the wrapper in his pocket.

Gibbs shut his eyes, and the others sat quiet.

It was 1/2 hour later Tony whispered, "They better get us out of here soon, I have a stomachache"

"Oh God Tony don't start" Ziva said making Tony smile as he whispered, "Well maybe I just have gas, and my Dad always said you should never hold anything in"

"You better hold it in Tony or I will smack you upside the head" Gibbs said

"Boss we are losing valuable time on this case"

"McGee I know that but what do you want me to do"?

"Nothing I'm just saying Boss"

"Why don't we all calm down, and just talk we rarely do that " Tony said

"Talk about what Tony movies"?

"Yeah Movies would be cool"

"I have a question for you Tony". McGee said.

"What McBrainy"?

"You know so much about movies, you are a expert, but you claim to have such a wild love life. I bet you are not the Casanova you think you are. I bet you had a lonely life growing up, and movies were all you had"

Gibbs whispered, "McGee that is out of line "

"No Boss I will answer that question". Tony looked at Ziva, and started to talk.

"Yes you are right my Mom died when I was little, and I was lonely . I basically took care of myself, my Dad changed after her death. I did watch movies it basically was my babysitter, and my Teacher, and I became obsessed with watching. I remember watching other children in the park with their parents, and I basically wished my Dad would show me some attention, but he didn't he had his woman, and he went out every night. I may be overbearing , and I joke most of the time, but that is my way with coping with my job, and the knowledge that someday my time will come, and I will die like Kate, and I'm sorry if you don't like it McGee. I have my lady friends, but I would love to settle down, but why bother bringing someone else into my life, don't get me wrong, I love my job, and I feel like you all are my family, and I would die for any of you"

Gibbs was staring at Tony, and whispered, "We would die for you too"

"I know Boss, God McGee you made me look like a fool thanks "

Ziva reached over touching his hand, and whispered, "No he didn't I finally understand you better". Tony smiled as Ziva smiled back at him.

This reminds me of an episode from season 7 where McGee and Ziva were stuck in the elevator and I thought that Ziva was going to kill McGee because he was being so annoying.
