Warning: Major spoilers for the finale. If you dont haven't seen it you may not want to read this
Blair couldn’t believe it. Todd-arrested for Victor’s murder. This couldn’t be. That was not the man she knew, the one she fell in love with again for the millionth time. The man she had just made love to minutes before John barged in on them. It didn’t make sense. If he did it it would mean that everything out of his mouth for the past few months had been a lie, and her mind couldn’t process it. It was too overwhelming.
“Get dressed, Manning. You’re coming with me,” McBain ordered as he pointed his weapon at the accused.
“What is going on here? Todd? You didn’t do this. Tell him this is all a mistake. You have this all wrong John. You have it wrong.”
Todd said nothing as he slid on his clothing.
“Todd? Tell him you didn’t do it.”
“What do you what from me, Blair? Okay. McBain, I didn’t do it. There, are you happy?” Todd asked as he started to button his shirt.
“Oh my God. Todd, what have you done? What have you done?” she repeated as she drew her hand to her mouth, nauseated.
He just looked at her, as confused as he had been ever since Victor died. “I’m sorry, Blair. This doesn’t change anything. You know I love you. I meant what I said.”
“Touching, Todd. I’m sure your cell mate would love to hear that from you, too.” McBain replied dryly. “Now let’s go. Oh, I have one more surprise for you. You’re also under the arrest for the kidnapping of Tomas Delgado.”
Blair’s eyes widened as she ran up to Todd and grabbed him by the neck. McBain pulled her off, kicking and screaming. She called him every name she could think of as she tried to get at her ex-husband.
McBain and his men finally got Todd out of there, leaving Blair all by herself, alone, as she fell to her knees sobbing. It never failed-whenever she found happiness it all went to hell. That was the story of her life. And as usual, it was all due to Todd Manning. When would she ever learn?

The first thing Blair did was drive over to Tea’s where she let herself in.
“Where is he?”
“I’m here.” Tomas announced himself only to be greeted with a slap across the face.
“Hey, you can’t do that,” Tea protested.
“Are you kidding me? He disappeared for a long time and he shows up and Todd’s been arrested for his disappearance. Are you expecting me to believe that he’s completely innocent in all of this?” Blair stared at Tea.
“Are you even listening to yourself? Todd has been arrested- for Tomas’ kidnapping. What more do you need to know? Are you so blinded by..I don’t know, your hormones, that you refuse to see the truth? Todd Manning is a liar, a kidnapper and a murderer. He murdered my husband and the father of my children. How you can defend him defies reason.”
“I’m not defending him but Tomas is an assassin. He knew about Todd before any of his did and he did nothing. Todd wouldn’t be in this mess if it weren’t for him. As far as I’m concerned this is all your fault,” she stared at her ex-boyfriend.
“My fault? Your crazy husband kept me away from the woman I loved and then cozies up to her and kills someone and this is all my fault? Blair, I know I’ve done a lot of things but I would never hurt you.”
“You would never hurt me,” Blair scoffed. “You knew Todd was alive and you kept that from me and my kids. You say you love me but you kept the biggest secret from me. How do you expect me to forgive you for that? You know what? I don’t think Todd killed Victor and I’m going to prove it You’re going to regret what you’re putting us through.”
“What about me, Blair? What about what I’m going through?” Tea spoke up. “My unborn child will never know his father because of what our ex-husband did. My child will never know his daddy at the hospital when I give birth. He’ll never play ball with Victor and Victor won’t be there to hear his son call him Daddy. If you think that Todd didn’t do it than you really need more help than I can give you. Get out. Get out of my house. Now!”
Blair stared at her. “I’m sorry for what you’re going through. The last thing I want to do is to hurt you anymore than what you are. I loved him too at one point. You want justice? So do I. Todd was locked away for eight years and tortured and God knows what else happened to him. I’m not going to let him spend the rest of his life locked up for something he didn’t do. That would kill him. And I’m not losing another husband.”
“Blair we have his phone records,” Tea blurted out. “We know what he did. Don’t you see it? He’s been playing you like a fool. You’re only making yourself look bad. Think of your children.”
Blair looked around, and saw exactly what she needed to see. There, lying on the end table was Tomas’ cell phone. If they could do that to Todd, what was stopping her from doing the same? She would beat them at their own game. The old Blair was back, and with a vengeance.
“You’re right, Tea. I’m not thinking. I just need some time to process what’s happened. I’ll be all right. Are you going to be okay?” Blair set her purse down on the end table, covering the cell phone.
“No I’m not going to be okay. I’ll be okay when I see Todd fry for what he’s done.”
“Well you can rest assured I’m not going to let that happen.” Blair carefully picked up the phone and her purse and held them against her side. “I think I had better go now.”
“I think you should have left ten minutes ago when I told you to,” Tea muttered while Tomas turned around.
Once outside Blair smiled to herself. She was not going to let anyone get away with framing Todd. She knew him. He did not do this. He couldn’t have. If he did that meant she had been played for a fool, and then her life would fall completely apart. She couldn’t go there again; she just couldn’t.
00000
Blair listened to the phone messages carefully. There was one about “we got him.” Who was he? Todd? But the date on that was right after Victor died. That couldn’t have been a coincidence. This didn’t make sense. She knew what she had to do. She had to go to McBain. He wouldn’t like it, and he might not cooperate, but she would raise hell until he did.
“What do you mean you have Tomas’ phone?” McBain asked as he stared at her. “Give it to me.”
“Not until you promise to have it investigated.”
“I can’t do that.”
“Why not? You did it to Todd!”
“How do you know about that?”
“Your partner in crime told me. And I know you didn’t obtain that phone legally. Any good lawyer will have that thrown out in court. So you owe me John. I know Tomas is involved with this.”
“You’re accusing your own boyfriend?”
“John, please. I know Todd didn’t do it. There’s more to it than what everyone thinks. I’m not saying definitely Todd didn’t do it but if there’s a chance he didn’t than we owe it to him to do this. Tomas is not exactly innocent in all of this. He’s partly responsible for Todd being locked up anyways. You charge him with that or you investigate. What’s it going to be?” Blair placed her hands on her hips.
“You gonna drop it if I do this?”
“Probably not but I want you to do it anyways.”
“I have to get a warrant. There’s no guarantees.”
“I understand that. But John..please try. Do it for me.”
Against his better judgment, McBain took the phone and put it in his pocket. He went to work on the warrant while Blair went to see Todd.
0000
“What are you doing here?” Todd asked.
“I need to know the truth,” Blair stood face to face with him across the bars.
“What do you want to know? I told you I did it. I killed Victor.”
She looked at him. “I don’t believe you.”
He turned around and started pacing. “What’s wrong with you? I told you I did it. I had the gun. I was in his room. I was there. I know I did it.”
“How do you know you did it?”
“What more proof do you need?”
“I’m sorry Todd but I’m just not buying it. You are many things but you’re not a killer.”
He raised his eyebrow.
“Okay but you did not kill Victor Lord. You would not kill your own brother.”
“Why not? The bastard ruined my life. He stole everything I ever had.”
“You knew why he did. It was all Irene’s fault.” Her eyes widened. “I bet Irene had something to do with this.”
“I think that’s impossible.”
“No Todd. Nothing’s impossible. Hasn’t this year taught you anything?” Blair asked.
“Listen. I want you to stop pushing. I know what I did and I know what will happen. I want you to leave this alone.”
“You know I can’t do that.”
“Do you love me?”
She didn’t say anything.
“If you do..you just told me you did…than you’ll respect my wishes and leave this alone.” Todd turned around and sat in the corner, refusing to look at her any further.
Blair laughed to herself. For as long as they knew each other, he must not have known her very well. When did she ever respect his wishes or leave things alone?

Clint and Viki went in to see McBain the next day.
“What’s the update on the Alison situation?” Clint demanded.
“Actually we have a lead. I’m waiting for some results and we may be able to take some action as early as this afternoon.”
“This afternoon? Is that the best you can do?” Viki asked, concerned. “She tried to kill me for heaven’s sake!”
“Yes and that is a top priority. Up until recently we haven’t had any new information.”
“Information? What information?” Clint wanted to know.
“I can’t tell you that. But be prepared for an arrest very very soon. You’ll be the first ones to know,” McBain attempted to reassure them.
“We have a family. This can’t wait. Why wasn’t this information found sooner?” Clint responded.
“I can’t answer that. I’m sorry but I have to go now. I’ll keep you informed.”
00000
Three hours later, thanks to the tracking of Tomas’ phone, a swat team, including McBain, was formed around a house two hours outside of Llanview. No one knew what to expect; they didn’t know what would happen. All they cared about was safety. Who knew, this might turn out to be a dead end, a false lead, but they had to give it their best shot.
No one was more shocked than McBain when they found Alison Perkins talking to none other than an alive and well Victor Lord, Jr. Bound and gagged, he was still very much revealing his gratitude through his glassy eyes. It was obvious he’d been drugged. Alison began to laugh.
“Well well. You found me boys. What took you so long?”
“Put your hands up where I can see them,” McBain ordered.
She reached in her pocked and pulled out a knife then held it to Victor’s throat. McBain didn’t waste any time. Shots were fired and in the confusion they managed to approach her and cuff her and throw her to the floor. As his officers were tending to her, McBain worked on freeing Victor.
“Am I glad to see you, “ McBain commented.
“Not as much as I am to you. What the hell took you so long? This nutball tried to kill me! She’s crazy! Get me out of here.”
“We’re getting you to a hospital. We have a squad outside. I’ll call Tea and she’ll meet you there.”
Victor brightened up at the mention of his wife. “Tea? How is she?”
McBain smiled. “I’ll let you see for yourself.”
0000
Victor couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw a very pregnant Tea walk into his room. Immediately she began to cry as she ran to him.
“I can’t believe this…you’re here…you’re really here,” she sniffed as he wiped away her tears.
“I am. You better believe it. And I’m never leaving your side again. You’re getting big Tea.”
She laughed. “You know I’m pregnant. I’m having a baby. I’m having our child. And know he gets to see his daddy.”
“Him?”
She nodded.
He broke out into a grin. “Come here, you.”
She fell into his arms, never wanting to let go. And she wouldn’t, now that she had everything that she had ever wanted.
0000
Blair and McBain walked into towards Todd’s cell. “Look it’s the dynamic duo. Where’s your cape McBain?”
“I’m letting you go.”
“you’re what?”
“You’re free.” He unlocked the cell and Blair ran to him. He reluctantly put his arm around her waist.
“what about Victor?”
“He’s alive, Todd. He’s alive! I told you you didn’t do it.”
“What about Tomas.”
“He’s got problems of his own right now,” McBain answered before walking away.
Blair put her hands on Todd’s face. “Don’t you see what this means? This is our fresh start. This is everything we ever wanted. There’s nothing holding us back. It’s you and me. You got me, Todd. You won.”
He looked away.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m no good at winning. You know what happens when I get what I what. I always screw things up. I don’t want to do that this time.”
“It’s not going to happen. You know how I know that?” Blair smiled as she grabbed his hands.
“How?”
“Because I won’t let you. I’m going to be on top of you. I’ll be watching you Todd. And right now I like what I see,” she kissed his cheek first before moving in for his lips. Hesitant at first, he then wrapped his arms around the small of her back and kissed her with some of the same passion they had been experiencing right before his arrest.
“Want to pick up where we left off?” Blair smiled.
“I thought you’d never ask.”
So Clint and Viki got what they wanted- knowing that their family was safe. And Tea got something she never thought she would have again- her husband. And Blair got something that was there all along. For once, all was well in Llanview.
The end
Blair couldn’t believe it. Todd-arrested for Victor’s murder. This couldn’t be. That was not the man she knew, the one she fell in love with again for the millionth time.
