Short story for Sanda

Sophie came home after visiting her Dad Matt for the weekend. She walked in her Mother smiled she wanted to know if Sophie had fun.

"Yeah Mom but I don't know how to tell you this"

"Tell me what"?

"Dad has a new girlfriend"

"Oh God he didn't invite some woman to his apartment while you were over"

"She kind of lives there Mom, Dad has a real girlfriend, she is actually really sweet"

"A girlfriend like for real"?

"Yeah her name is Sanda, she is his roommate, but they really like each other. She has her own room, she has this cool cat named Tegan. She took me shopping while Dad went to be with the band. He came home for dinner, and you can see he really likes her a lot"

"Your Father has not grown up enough to have a real relationship he will ruin it"

"He married you Mom"

"We married young, I was foolish he is a great man, but he is a child that will never grow up"

"Mom he is different around her, maybe she is helping him grow up"

"That would never happen "

"Mom are you jealous"?

"Me no we are divorced Sophie, but I will always care for him he is your Father"

"Dad is really cool Mom, but you don't give him enough credit". Sophie smiled, "I'm going up to call Mackenzie". She left Annie ran to the phone calling Matt.

"Hello"

"Matt it is Annie"

"Yeah I know I saw your name on my caller ID, what is up Annie is Sophie OK"?

"Yeah she was telling me all about her weekend"

"She had fun it was really nice Annie"

"I hear you have a new roommate"

"Sanda she is way cool Annie you would like her a lot"

"Sophie seems to think your together, she is not really your girlfriend is she"?

"Annie we are divorced I don't know why your asking, but I would like for her to be my girlfriend, she is so different, and so sweet"

"Sweet you like sweet, I thought you only like sexy"

"Well I think Sanda is sexy too, Annie she really makes me smile"

"I'm happy for you Matt, I better let you go"

"Annie you ok"

"Yeah go be with Sanda have a nice life". Annie hung up, Matt hung up a little surprised. He was looking at the TV when Sanda walked over with popcorn sitting beside him.

"Matt I made you some popcorn for the game"

"Oh I love popcorn you spoil me"

"Who was that on the phone"?

"Oh that was my Ex Wife she was just talking about Sophie"

"I think Sophie had fun this weekend she is really sweet"

"Sophie sweet she can be but it is rare"

Sanda smiled, "Well she is sweet like her Daddy"

"Sanda I have had a wild life, I really like you but I'm worried you will run when you hear about my past"

"Oh man what is wrong with your past"?

"Well I'm divorced, I have a teenage Daughter, and I'm kind of immature most of the time"

"Well I know that what else"?

"I have dated a lot of women so you might hear rumors"

"I don't care about the past, I want to focus on the future". Matt smiled as he touched her chin, "I'm so happy you are my roommate"

Sanda moved close as they snuggle watching the game, eating popcorn as Tegan jumped up beside them.

Great start to your new story Jessie. Matt and Sanda are so cute and adorable together in your new story. OMG Matt's ex is Annie is going to be handful. LOL

Chapter 2

Sanda fell asleep watching the football game. Tegan was sitting on Matt's lap. Matt smiled, "Now Tegan, I know you are protective, but do you think Sanda likes me? I mean likes me , not as a roommate like as in boyfriend material. I know I have a bad reputation but I promise you Tegan, I'm going to treat Sanda with respect. I can't believe I just said that did a alien take over my body. Oh great don't give me that look boy, I'm a little crazy, but Sanda gets me. She laughs at my jokes, and she loves to talk, but I don't find her annoying. I find most women annoying most of the time but not Sanda. She is the only girl who watches my sports games, and comes to the club, and thinks I'm amazing. I think she even told one of her friends I was cute, well maybe I am what do you think"? Tegan jumped off the couch, Sanda whispered, "You are crazy Matt, your talking to me, and I'm a cat". He stared at Tegan shocked but Sanda started to laugh, "It was me talking not Tegan silly"

"Oh crap I thought he was talking, and I haven't even drank much"

Sanda smiled, "Wow you don't find me annoying"?

"You were listening to me Girl"?

"Well I was only resting my eyes, so yes I was listening"

"Oh man how embarrassing, you think I'm a nerd talking to your cat". Sanda sat up moving close, "No I don't think your a nerd, and I talk to Tegan, he is my baby"

"Yeah he is a good listener he doesn't talk back". Sanda and Matt started to laugh, as he touched her chin. He brought his lips to hers , as they kissed so tenderly. Sanda has been waiting for so long for him to kiss her, and it finally happened. She wondered what it would be like, it was magical, he was officially good at everything. She smiled as he pulled her close as Tegan stared at them. Sanda whispered, 'It is getting late, we should go to bed". Matt turned the TV off, putting his hands out to her. Sanda got up, they checked everything, and were walking to the bedrooms. Sanda stopped in front of her door, she opened it Tegan ran in. Matt smiled, "Can I run in too"?

"No Matt I'm not ready for that just yet, but it is going to be hard sleeping knowing you are in the room next to me"

"Oh man"

"Matt lets do this right lets take things slow. Lets really get to know each other so when we make love it will be for the right reason not just because we are lonely, and it would be a easy way out to sleep together, and grow apart , and I will feel like crap, and I don't want that"

"I will wait as long as you need"

"Matt if we are going to date, it has to only be me"

"I understand"

"Good because I will not tolerate cheating, if you want other women just forget about me". Matt smiled, "No other women for me, I only have eyes for you"

Tegan came to the door , and meowed. "Saved by Tegan, goodnight Matt, see you at breakfast"

"If you ever need me, I'm right next door"

Sanda smiled, "I know that, goodnight". Sanda shut the door as Matt went to his room, and shut the door

Cute chapter Jessie. Sanda and Matt are so cute together. I LOVE that Matt was talking to my cat Tegan. Sanda shouldl have let Matt lay down next to her in bed.

Chapter 3

Sanda was laying in bed she couldn't sleep she smiled thinking about Matt. She wanted to let him stay with her, but she didn't want to make love until she was sure Matt was the one. She heard all the rumors about Matt, but when he was with her he was sweet. She picked up Tegan, "Teg what do you think of Matt, he is special isn't he". Tegan meowed she knew he said yes, she snuggled close to him, but almost jumped out of her skin, when she heard music blasting from Matt's room. It was 11 o'clock what was he thinking. She jumped up walking out she was angry, how rude that he didn't care about her rights she was his roommate, and she was in bed sleeping. She wasn't sleeping but he didn't know it. She knocked the music was loud he didn't open the door, she knocked again. She put her hands on her hips, she was upset, Tegan walked up beside her. She opened Matt's door, he was laying on the bed reading some music sheets , but jumped when she started yelling at him.

"Oh God I'm sorry Sanda, I didn't think"

"Really do you know what time it is"?

"Yeah I don't normally sleep at this time"

"Well normal people do, don't you own earplugs"?

"Well know"

"Turn it down Matt". He walked over turning it off, "I'm so sorry Sanda, I really didn't think"

"Obviously it is ok but think about other people Matt"

"Awe I love your little cat PJ's, they look like the ones my daughter wore when she was 8"

"Oh so your saying I'm a child"

"What no they are adorable, I really can't do anything right , I didn't mean to be rude"

"No you were not rude, I'm being sensitive, I love my cat PJ's, and my George Strait pillow, and my cat blanket"

"Who is George Strait"?

"One of the best Country singers, you don't know him"?

"I don't like country, you do"?

"Yeah but I like pretty much everything but rap, and heavy metal music"

"You should come, and see our band play Sanda you would love it"

"I would love to you never invited me"

"Well the crowds can get rowdy, but you will be fine, I will sit you up at front. You have to realize women scream, and act all crazy, but they are pretty cool"

"Yeah and the groupies"

"I'm so over that part of my life, I'm trying to grow up, but tonight I blew it didn't I"?

"No Matt I forgive you"

Matt smiled, "I'm not tired, want to talk , we can lay on the bed"

"Matt I'm not ready "

"Just to talk, I promise to be good"

"You better be"

Matt pulled his blanket down, Sanda crawled in bed, and he laid beside her. She smiled as he moved close, and wrapped his arms around her. She laid her head on his chest as Tegan jumped on the bed. Matt laughed, "Your little body guard"

"Yes he watches over me"

"Hey Tegan we are just talking Bud" Tegan laid beside Matt, Sanda whispered, "He likes you Matt, you must be alright"

"I try Sanda, but I'm not perfect by any means"

"No one is Matt". They talked for about a hour, Matt laughed he normally hated women who talked to much, but he loved listening to Sanda. She talked about her family, and all the things Tegan has done, and her favourite shows, movies, music, and books. She finally fell asleep in his arms, he turned off the light. He wasn't going to wake her , he wanted to have her close. He has had women in his life, but he felt like he had someone special that he didn't want to lose. He knew he blew so many relationship in the past, but this time he had to do it right, he didn't want to lose Sanda, so he knew he had to grow up fast, but could he do it?

Chapter 4

The next morning Sanda woke up with Matt holding her tight, and Tegan laying over her legs. She couldn't move her leg went to sleep , she moved, and Tegan was not really happy but he jumped off the bed. Matt woke up, "Sanda what is the matter"?

"My leg has gone to sleep" He got up rubbing it, she laid back, and whispered, "Oh man I can't believe I fell asleep in your bed"

"I can't believe you slept with me, and we didn't get naughty" Matt laughed as Sanda sat up, and they both were laughing. Sanda almost fell off the bed when Annie, and Sophie came walking in the room. Annie grabbed Sophie, "Go get yourself some juice, I will be right there"

"Mom"

"Go Sophie now" Sophie stormed out, Matt got off the bed. "Annie how dare you walk in my room, knock for God sake"

"Did you forget you were taking Sophie to breakfast, than dropping her at school at 10"?

"I forgot but you should have phoned"

"I guess I shouldn't be surprised you would be entertaining your friend"

Sanda got up, "We fell asleep we did not entertain ourselves, beside I'm his roommate"

"Oh roommates that share a bed"

"No we were talking, we fell asleep nothing was going on"

"Ok whatever you both say' Matt grabbed Annie's arm, "Stop being rude she is telling the truth"

"I know you Matt, should I take Sophie with me or can you manage to get her to school"?

"I will drive her go to work"

"Don't let me down again she can't miss anymore school"

"I said I will get her there"

"Fine" Annie walked out, Matt turned, "I'm sorry she treated you that way, that is my ex, I guess you know that already"

"Wow she is nasty"

"Not all the time, I forget about today, I will get dressed, and take you both out to breakfast ok"

"Maybe you and Sophie will be happier without me"

"No we wouldn't get dressed, we will go to Denny's"

"You love that place don't you"?

"Well yeah I love the pancakes, and the bagels are to die for" Sanda smiled, "I will get dressed, come and knock on my door when your Ex is gone"

"I will sorry again she normally is pleasant, she just gets mad at me"

"I noticed"

Sanda left to go to her room, she stopped when she saw Annie in her room. Sanda walked in, "Excuse me can I help you"?

"No I was playing with your cat, he is cute"

"His name is Tegan"?

"Cute name, I'm sorry for being rude to you, but Matt needs to grow up, and fast"

"Matt is sweet, but I can tell he made some mistakes in his life"

Annie smiled, "Some mistakes, he has made many"

"Annie he loves Sophie, I agree he needs to grow up , but he is trying to"

"You like Matt don't you"?

"I don't want to fight with you Annie but yes I like Matt a lot" Annie smiled, she sat on the bed, "He is cute, but he will drive you crazy"

Sanda walked over, "Annie do you still love Matt"?

"Love yes, but will I ever take him back no"

"I would never do anything to cause problems between Matt, and his daughter, he loves her so much Annie"

"I know he does, but sometimes he acts like a child, and I need him to step up to the plate, and be a Father, not her best friend. She always says he is cool because I have to be the bad one. Matt is the guy who takes her to concerts, and movies, and gives her everything she wants. Christmas is soon, I bet he has bought her tons of stuff, but I can't do that, I have to be smart, and sometimes, I want to be her friend, but she needs one parent"

"That is not fair Matt is a wonderful Father, I have seen him with her. He has spoiled her, but have you talked to him about your feelings"?

"Not really he never pays attention"

"Try Annie give Matt a chance"

Annie smiled, "Maybe you will be good for him Sanda, he needs someone focused, and smart, I was so in love with Matt, I never put my foot down, and look what happened, we ended up divorced, and let me tell you it was for the best"

Sanda smiled, "Well you both have a daughter she needs you both, so work together"

Annie got up, "Thanks Sanda, are you going to your family for Christmas"?

"Not this year, I'm going to see them in March for 2 weeks"

"Great than your coming to my place for Christmas with Matt. You will be part of the family I'm sure, it will be fun"

"Oh I don't know Annie"

"Please say you will come, Sophie wants her Father there, and I'm not letting her go anywhere Christmas. You and Matt come, it will be a great day"

"I will come if Matt says it is ok" Annie hugged her, and walked out, Sanda shut the door. She walked over to Tegan sitting down, lifting him on her lap. "Tegan what do you think"? Tegan stared at her, Sanda laughed, and whispered, "I know, I don't know what to think either"?

Great update Jessie. OMG I feel bad for Sanda and Matt when Annie and Sophie walked in on them laying on the bed together. OMG Sanda and Matt have their handsful with Matt's ex Annie. LOL

Chapter 5

Sanda came out to the kitchen, Sophie and Matt were eating waffles. Sanda smiled, 'Your Mother left"?

"Yes I'm sorry we walked in on you"

"That is fine Sweetie, but nothing was going on"

"I know Dad told me, don't worry I didn't think there was"

Sanda smiled as Matt handed her a coffee. Tegan walked in meowing, Sophie got up. "I will feed him, is that ok"?

"Sure his food is in the bottom drawer"

"I remember thanks"

Sanda smiled at Matt he reached over holding her hand. She whispered, 'You ok"?

"Sure I'm sorry about that"

Sophie yelled over, "He was hungry, this boy can eat"

"Just like your Daddy"

"I know, I wish I could get a cat but Mom won't let me"

"She has allergies Sophie"

"I know Dad but I want one"

"Well you can visit Tegan whenever you want"

"Great I will"

Matt got up, "I better get dressed, I have to get her to school. Maybe we can have lunch today Sanda, I have to go in early, we are breaking in a new drummer"

"Dad can I skip school, and watch your band"?

"No you can't your going to school, I don't need your Mother breathing down my neck"

"I know but I tried" Matt smiled as he walked to his room. Sophie sat down, "Sanda do you really like my Dad"?

"Yes very much Sophie"

"Enough to marry him"

"I don't know about that Sweetie, that is a long way off"

"My Dad is a good guy Sanda, you have changed him a lot"

"He is a good guy, he is silly sometimes, but so am I"

"My Mom is great but sometimes she drives me crazy"

"Sophie she is your Mother you shouldn't talk that way"

"I want to come live with you, and Dad part time maybe every other week"

"Oh I don't think your Mother will go for that"

"Probably not but she might if she thinks you will watch me"

"I'm not getting between your Mother, and Father's business "

"Please I want to get to know my Dad, I can't if I rarely see him"

"Talk to him Sophie, it is up to him, and your Mother to make that choice"

"You wouldn't mind would you"?

"Mind no I would love you here, beside Tegan thinks your way cool"

"I am cool " Sophie smiled getting up picking up Tegan. "Hey would you like to have me stay over more"?

Tegan meowed making Sophie laugh, "He does he even said so"

Sanda smiled as Matt came out, "You ready Sophie, I don't want you to be late"

"Sure Dad" Sophie hugged Sanda, and grabbed her books, as Matt walked over giving Sanda a kiss. "Lunch drop by the club, we will go out to eat"

"Not with the band"

"No just us see you at noon"

"Bye" Matt and Sophie left, Sanda watched them drive away, she waved as she shut the door, and locked it. She walked to the kitchen, she grabbed the dishes, she really liked Sophie, she just hoped Annie didn't get angry with Matt because Sophie wanted to spend more time here. She didn't think it was a bad idea, but she knew Annie might be disappointed.
