IMO Dallas should have ended with this episode. The last 4 years of Dallas was awful without Victoria Principal and Susan Howard. The final scene of Dallas should have been the scene with JR, John Ross and Jeremy Wendell in Ewing Oil. I HATED the final scene of this episode when Pam crashes into the tanker. I am interested to hear your thoughts on this episode.

Sanda, I didn't watch Dallas after VP left. I didn't like the way Pam was written out of the show. I have heard that they had a 2 year warning. You would think with that much time the writers could of come up with something else. I agree with you 100%. It should have ended. It started with PD and VP it should have end with PD and VP. Their Love story was the back bone of the show. IMO.

Tammie, you didn't miss anything not watching the show after VP left the show. IMO the season without PD was much better written than the seasons without VP even though I can't stand the pairing of Pam and Mark. I also agree that writers could have come up with a lot better way for Pam to leave considering they had 2 years notice she was quitting. I don't blame VP for quitting with the type of storylines Pam was getting in her last 2 years on the show.

I agree with Tammie. Pam and Bobby had great chemistry. They were the perfect counterbalance to the machinations JR. I didn't want to see Bobby or Pam with anyone else. Surprising, while I hated when Bobby and Pam were divorced, it gave the show an added boost. They got two years worth of storylines having Bobby and Pam get back together. When VP left the show, Dallas ended for me. You could tell the producers were gun shy after PD left the show and returned, that they didn't want to write Pam out completely. Very unsatisfying ending to a great love story.

Bruce that is so true that we got two years of storylines having Bobby and Pam get back together but it was 2 years too long to keep them apart.

Well, regarding Pam, the producers feel that if she was killed off, they might've possible set themselves up for the possibility of another dream season, which really would've brought down ratings. I wouldn't have wanted Pam to be killed off, as she and Bobby were so great together. I, too, think the Dallas series should've ended with J.R threatening Wendell. That would've been perfect. It is a strong ending, but is very open-ended, especially for reunion movies down the line.

I didn't like Season 10-13. Dallas is so bad after this episode when VP leaves and all the new characters they brought in after Season 9 were awful. Season 1-9 were classic Dallas. And I'm only looking forward to owning the next two seasons that are left to be released by Warner Bros on DVD.

I am also in no hurry to own the last 4 years of Dallas either.

That season was quite good minus Pam´s crashing against the tanker. JR finally got what he deserved though a very disgusting person Jeremy Wendell ( even more bad than JR ) got his revenge. I felt sorry for Bobby when Mrs. Scottfield came to the Ewing Oil to meet Bobby. Bobby had no part in the BD Calhoun crap which was behind her revenge. In fact Mrs. Scottfield blamed Bobby for her husband´s suicide and used JR´s BD Calhoun case only as a cover.

I didn't like Jenna being pregnant with Bobby's baby. I also didn't like Jenna and Ray as a pairing. Ray and Donna should have raised their daughter Margaret together. I felt sorry for Bobby losing Ewing Oil as well because of the BD Calhoun crap. Jussi, I agree that Mrs. Scottfield was pissed off about her husband's suicide and used JR's BD Calhoun case only as a cover.
