A/N: This follow’s the show’s storyline that the character of Sally Spectra is out traveling the world, happier than ever.
Jessie arrived in Los Angeles, nervous about how she would be perceived. She came looking for her mother, Sally Spectra. She had been given up for adoption and had only now been given her birth records. From what she had heard Sally had left her company to go on a cruise around the world, and her sister Macy had been killed in a car accident. The only information she had was the name of her late sister’s husband, Thorne Forrester. She didn’t know anything about him or how he would react to her arrival. It was a lot to take in, and he would probably be hard to believe, but still it was a chance she had to take.
She knew he could be found at Forrester Creations. Great. He was rich and successful. He probably would think she was after his money or Sally’s. She didn’t care about their money or names, she just had to know her mother. Her adoptive father had passed away four years ago, and her adoptive mother one, so she was all alone. This was it, her chance to be part of a family again. She had to find out.
She went to the receptionist. “I’m here to see Mr. Thorne Forrester.”
“Do you have an appointment?”
“No but it’s important. It’s about family.”
“I’m sorry, but Mr. Forrester is extremely busy, and you don’t look like family to me. “
“Please, it’s about Sally Spectra,” Jessie pleaded.
Just then Thorne walked out and looked at Jessie. He took one look at her red hair and pale complexion and apple cheekbones and looked like he had seen a ghost.
“Do I know you?” He finally asked.
“No. But you know my mother. My name is Jessie Johnson. And my birth mother is Sally Spectra.”
Thorne looked at his receptionist. “Sanda, who is this woman?”
“I don’t know Thorne. I’ve never seen her before. She just walked in here asking to see you.”
“I know this sounds crazy but I just found out. Here, I have adoption records, my birth certificate, and a hospital photo of Sally holding me. I don’t want any trouble. I just needed to see her for myself,” Jessie explained.
Thorne looked at her closely. “What do you do for a living?”
“I’m’ a singer.”
Thorne smiled. “Macy was a singer. “
“Macy?”
“She was my wife. Sally’s daughter. She was killed in an accident.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t want to trouble you. Maybe this was a mistake,” Jessie said, turning around.
“She does look like her,” Sanda told Thorne.
“She never mentioned having another daughter. But then again she is a woman of mystery.”
“Is she around? Maybe she could clear this up?” Jessie suggested.
“No. She’s on a cruise, living it up with a tour of cabana boys,” Thorne laughed.
“She sounds like something else,” Jessie smiled.
“She is. She lights up the room. She’s larger than life. She is unforgettable. There has to be something here to confirm this. You do look just like her.”
Thorne called a locksmith, who got into Sally’s office. He and Sanda spent hours going through her belongings until he finally found a birth certificate. Jessie was right. She was Sally’s daughter.
Thorne had chills. He knew he felt connected to Jessie from the moment he laid eyes on her.
He took her to dinner, where they spent hours talking about Sally, about Jessie’s childhood, about her career. Jessie couldn’t help but notice how handsome he was, and he found himself attracted to her. One date turned into another, and eventually she moved to Los Angeles. Thorne used her connections to help her establish her singing career in local areas, although she soon became known on her own. Thorne and Darla’s daughter was happy to have a mother figure in her life again, although she still missed Darla very much. Jessie understood, she felt a void from not having a mother in her life growing up and tried to help the child as best as she could. Thorne never thought he could be happy again after losing two wives, but Jessie made him very happy. Ridge and Eric were very happy for him, and Jessie and Thorne and his daughter settled down, and were happy for a very long time.
