Sanda was having a really bad day. She was a kindergarten teacher and the kids in her classroom were really misbehaving today. Even Christopher wouldn’t listen to her. All she wanted to do was go home and take a nice long soak in the tub. She hoped that JR wouldn’t be home, even though that might mean trouble for Sue Ellen. Sanda just didn’t think she could deal with any of his comments tonight.
Sanda looked at the clock, and knew that Bobby wouldn’t be home for a few hours. She had some time to kill so she decided to go to the mall. It had been awhile since she’d been there, Bobby would never go with her. The first stop she went to was the perfume counter. After looking around she decided to buy White Diamonds, it was always one of her favorites. She went to the makeup counter and one of the salesgirls asked if she would like a makeover. Sanda smiled and sat down in the chair. She fell in love with the lipstick and eyeshadow they put on her and purchased those as well. Bobby was going to kill her, she laughed. It wasn’t as if she were spending a fortune. Time to go look at other stores.
Sanda browsed around when a new store caught her eye- it was a pet store. She loved animals- especially cats. Not sure of what she would find, she walked in and started to look around.
“Can I help you with something?” the salesgirl smiled.
“No thanks, I’m just here to browse.”
“For dogs or cats?”
“Cats.”
“We have some new kittens if you’d like to see them.”
“I’d love to,” Sanda smiled, following the salesgirl.
The salesgirl took her to a room where there were about six kittens, about ten weeks old. Sanda’s heart melted. She would take them all home if she could. One came up to her and started playing with her shoelace, causing it to come undone.
Sanda laughed, picking up the orange and white striped tabby with brown eyes. “Aren’t you cute?” she held him close to her, causing him to purr loudly. Sanda started thinking about how her childhood and how she was never allowed to have a cat when she was younger. She would sneak and feed the strays. There was one, Tabby, which was like her best friend. She would tell her all of her secrets. She would tell her about her parents’ divorce. It broke her heart when she had to move and leave Tabby behind. She’d gotten a cat when she was an adult but it had passed away, devastating her. Would it be so wrong if she were to bring this little one home?
She thought of Bobby. They had promised each other to talk before making any major decisions. But her heart was telling her that this was her cat. This cat loved her already- she could feel it. As she looked at the kitten she knew what she had to do.

Bobby came upstairs, looking for Sanda. He found her upstairs, lying on the bed.
“What are you doing, honey?”
“I’m playing with Norman.”
“You’re what?”
Sanda turned around and showed him the kitten. “Norman. He’s our new baby.”
“How could you bring home a cat? We already have our hands full with all of the horses.”
“Bobby, we have help with the horses. I want something of my own. I have always wanted a cat. Please don’t make me take him back. Besides, Christopher loves him.”
“Christopher’s seen him?”
Sanda smiled.
“You don’t play fair. Of course you can keep him. But I don’t want him sleeping in our bed.”
Sanda wrapped her arms around her husband and gave him a big kiss. “I promise.”
00000
Later in the middle of the night, there was a scratching at the door.
“Sanda, do you hear that?”
“I think so.”
“I think it’s the cat.”
“He’ll stop in a minute,” Sanda replied.
The scratching continued; only this time Norman started to meow. Loudly.
“For goodness sake Sanda do something about that cat. He’ll wake everybody up.”
Sanda got up and picked up the cat and brought him into bed.
“I told you I don’t want him in bed with us,” Bobby sighed.
“What are we supposed to do? He wants in and like you said we have to something before he wakes everybody up.”
“Only for the night,” Bobby grumbled.
Sanda kissed her husband. “you won’t be sorry.”
“Something tells me I will be.”
The cat started off on by Sanda’s side, but by morning it was snuggled up by Bobby’s chest. Bobby’d found himself a new friend. From that night on Norman wouldn’t sleep unless he was by Bobby’s feet every night. What started off as a gift for herself wound up being Bobby’s newest best friend.

Melinda, I LOVE this story sooo much. I LOVED Bobby's comment when he said How could you bring home a cat when we have are handsful with all of the horses. LOL I LOVE that Christopher got to see the cat before Bobby so that Bobby would have to cave and let her keep the cat. Jessie, I agree that Bobby and I are adorable together. ;D I LOVE the name Norman for the cat.

Sanda couldn’t wait. Today was the day of the big picnic she and Bobby had been planning all week. The forecast was great; it was supposed to be in the seventies with no chance of rain. There was a nice breeze and it was beautiful outside. She had cabin fever, as it had been raining all last week and she was just getting over the flu. She hated being sick. This time was particularly nasty. Bobby tried his best to take care of her, even offering to miss work but she didn’t want him to get sick so she refused his offer. She just stuck it out and did the best she could. She had been looking forward to this day for quite awhile now.
Norman was meowing and she wasn’t sure why. He was fed and he had plenty of water. He must have wanted her attention. The orange-haired tabby was spoiled. He slept in her and Bobby’s bed. Even though he was her kitten, he sure took a liking to Bobby. Bobby pretended not to care, but she knew that he had a soft spot for the feline. She’d caught him talking to Norman on many occasions and tried not to laugh. He got mad at first when the cat crawled in to bed with them but had eventually got used to the idea.
Sanda picked Norman up. “We did good, didn’t we?” she smiled, marveling at how lucky she’d gotten. Her life was so good, she was amazed. She was almost afraid to say it out loud. She and Bobby and Christopher were blissfully happy. All it would take to make their family complete was a new baby, and as Bobby would often say, practice made perfect. If that were the case, she would definitely be pregnant by now. Sometimes she grew impatient at their lack of success but Bobby would reassure her that these things took time. Sometimes she wondered if something was wrong with her, but he would tell her not to jump the gun. If it was meant to be then it would happen in its own time.
Sanda was eagerly waiting for Bobby to come home from the office. She couldn’t wait to see him and start this day. Miss Ellie knocked on her door.
“Sanda, I think you had better come here.”
“Is everything okay?”
“It’s Christopher. He has a fever and is starting to cough.”
This was exactly what she was afraid would happen. She ran to him, and sure enough he felt warm. Her heart broke seeing him like this. Sanda went to the medicine cabin and got him some Robitussin and meausured it out, giving him the right dose. Christopher began to cry.
“It’s okay, honey. This tastes yucky but I promise it will make you feel better.”
“I want my daddy.”
“Okay sweetheart. I’ll go give him a call. I’ll be right back.”
Sanda called Bobby at the office, only to be told that he had already left. She went back to Christopher. “Would you like to come lay down with me and Norman?”
He nodded. They went to the bedroom and she picked up the cat. They waited there until a few minutes later, when Bobby came into the room.
“I have bad news honey,” Sanda spoke up. “We can’t go to the picnic. “Christopher is sick.”
“Oh, son, are you okay? Is Sanda taking care of you?”
Christopher nodded, reaching out his arms for Bobby. They sat on the bed..
“I came home early. I have bad news myself. I also am coming down with something.”
Sanda put her hand on her husband’s forehead. “Bobby you’re burning up! Let me go get you some medicine!”
Bobby coughed. “Thanks. I would appreciate that.”
She returned and gave it to him. “Is there anything else I can do for you?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Have you ate yet?”
“No.”
“Let me make you some of my famous chicken noodle soup. I hate to brag but it can rival your mother’s chili any day,” Sanda smiled.
“You don’t have to.”
“Nonsense. You and Christopher have to eat. It’s the least I can do for you.”
“You’re too good for me honey. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
When Sanda returned, Bobby and Christopher where bundled up with Norman curled up in between them. Sanda grabbed her cell phone and took a picture of them.
“No fair preying on the weak,” Bobby laughed.
“You three looked so cute, how could anyone resist?” Sanda laughed.
Bobby and Christopher sat up and ate the soup. “Honey this is wonderful. I’m feeling better already.”
“Sanda I like your soup,” Christopher added.
“That settles it, you’re a bona fide top notch chef,” Bobby smiled. “Too bad Norman couldn’t enjoy it. I’m sure he’d be glad to give it two paws up.”
“I made plenty of it so it will get you two through this stretch. I hope it won’t last too long.”
“with a nurse like you I’m sure we’ll manage.”
“I want Sanda,” Christopher reached out his arms. Sanda picked him up.
“Now where’s that cell phone?” Bobby picked it up and took a picture. “You know, Sanda, I’m not sure how we’ll make it without you. I’m not sure how we’ve done anything without you. Christopher and I were so lost without you. You’ve really completed our family.”
“Don’t forget Norman,” Christopher added.
Bobby and Sanda laughed. “Yes, you and Norman completed our family,” Bobby added.
Sanda leaned in and kissed both Christopher and Bobby on the cheeks. It would be a long week, but she would gladly take care of the two men in her life. She couldn’t imagine her life without them. She did vow in sickness and in health. Bobby wasn’t always easy to take care of when he was sick, but she got through it. And the first thing they did when he got better was go on that picnic. A week after that Sanda got sick again. This time it wasn’t the flu. Bobby and Sanda discovered that they were going to expand their family. They learned to wean Norman from their bed, though it wasn’t easy. Their family was finally complete.

chapter 3
Sanda and Bobby and Christopher had just come back from a Disney cruise. They had enjoyed their time immensely. They were worried about how Christopher would do, but he wound up enjoying himself most of all. They never thought they would be so happy to be back at Southfork, but they had missed everyone, especially Norman. Everyone’s favorite orange haired tabby had wormed its way into their hearts, especially Bobby’s. He hated how the cat would crawl into their bed at first but now he couldn’t sleep unless the feline was by his feet every night. Every owner said their pet was special, but Norman truly was. Every one of the Ewings loved the cat except for JR. He always was complaining about it being underfoot. He hated how loudly the cat would meow at night. He called it a pest. Norman would bring mice up to Bobby’s doorstep proudly every now and then, and JR found that disgusting. Norman did that to JR one day and JR threatened to get rid of it. Christopher cried for days.
Bobby walked in wearing a set of Mickey Mouse ears and Lucy laughed at him. “Careful there, you could have been one of Snow White’s s dwarfs,” he laughed.
Lucy glared at him as she stomped out of the room. Sanda looked at Bobby.
“That wasn’t very nice.”
“She was laughing at me!”
“Still, you need to think of the example you are setting for Christopher,” Sanda frowned.
“Christopher was nowhere around. But sorry Mom,” Bobby pulled Sanda in for a kiss.
“It’s nice to be home,” Sanda smiled.”
“I can think of ways to celebrate.”
“Bobby James, you are so bad today. This is the last time I take you on a cruise!”
“I’m sorry, I’ll be good, I promise.” He pulled her in for another kiss when they where interrupted by the sound of Christopher crying.
“What’s wrong buddy?” Bobby asked.
“It’s Norman. He’s gone,” Christopher sobbed.
“He’s got to be here somewhere,” Sanda said. “Let’s go upstairs.”
Everyone searched the house high and low. They looked for hours and could not find Norman..
“Honey maybe he went outside. He might come back tonight,” Sanda said. She and Bobby looked at each other. They didn’t know how long Norman had been gone. Southfork was pretty big. They knew unfortunately there was a chance that Norman might never return.
“I don’t care. I want my cat.”
“Come upstairs. Let’s get you ready for bed. Would you like to sleep with Daddy tonight?” Bobby asked.
Christopher nodded. It was a long night but he finally wore himself out and fell asleep. The next day at the office JR kept picking on Bobby,
“You look mighty tired little brother. What’s the matter little wife give you some loving? She does seem like a wild one,” he laughed.
“I’ll thank you to shut your trap about my wife. And it was Christopher who kept us up all night. His cat seems to have disappeared. You wouldn’t know anything about that would you?” Bobby asked.
“Now what would I know anything about a cat for? I stick to oil not felines.”
“Something tells me that you know more than you’re letting on.”
“Why would you say that?”
“Because you’ve threatened to get rid of it in the past.” Bobby’s eyes widened. “You did get rid of it. Where did you take it. And if you lie to me so help me I’ll wipe the floor with your lip.” Bobby grabbed JR by the collar.
“Bobby I did no such thing!”
Bobby tightened his grip.
“Okay okay. It brought another rodent to my floor and kept meowing I couldn’t get any sleep. I took it to the animal shelter on Shelton Road.”
Bobby punched JR on the mouth. “How could you do that to a little boy? You are heartless. I’ll deal with you later.”
Bobby drove over to the animal shelter, where he inquired about an orange tabby. “Yes sir, we have one right over here.”
His heart sank when he realized it wasn’t Norman. “Do you have any others?”
“Just this one.”
Looking up at him with big brown eyes was his beloved Norman who began to purr loudly. Bobby grabbed a carrier and took Norman and filled out the forms and took him home.
They waited for Christopher to come home from school. “Buddy, we have a surprise for you,” Bobby smiled.
Christopher lit up. “Norman?”
“Norman!” Sanda laughed as the cat ran to her step-son. This was a happy reunion for everyone. Well, not everyone. JR wasn’t so happy to see the cat, But he knew what Bobby would do if he were to ever pull a stunt like that again. Next time he wouldn’t be so lucky as to walk away with just a split lip. Other than that, the reunion went well for everyone, and it was awhile before they left the cat alone again.

Great update Melinda. I can just picture JR giving Norman away to the animal shelter while me, Bobby, and Christopher were away on our Disney Cruise. I am soo happy that Bobby found the cat at the local animal shelter. Bobby should have given JR more than just a split lip. ;D I would have done more than just give JR a split lip for that stunt. ;D

Happy belated birthday !
A car is arriving to the Southfork Ranch. A famous Ewing family is living there. They are rich by their oil business. Two ladies are talking in the car. The other one is the half- sister of Pamela Barnes- Ewing, Katherine Wentworth. The other one is her friend Sanda. They are invited to the Ewing Barbeque. - I have an idea you don´t know the Ewing family very much though Pam is your half- sister says Sanda - That´s true we are not very close but we are getting closer. Thanks to our mama Rebecca says Katherine. Katherine continues : - I have heard Pam has a very handsome husband Bobby and the rumours are saying they are separeting. A divorce is close Sanda loves her friend Katherine but knows her psychological problems and says : - Are you sure you are well know, I am your loyal friend but the way you speak about Bobby Ewing, it worries me. - Don´t worry, I am alright now. Please focus now to the marvellous Ewing barbecue. Sanda had heard that Katherine had slept with JR, Bobby´s ruthless brother but thought they were only ugly rumours and tried to hope the best of her friend.
Well, this is it ! Pam welcomes her sister and her friend Sanda. And this is the famous Bobby Ewing ! Yes, the rumours are true, he is really handsome, Sanda is thinking. Bobby and Pam have had difficulties in their marriage mostly by the compition of Ewing Oil. And they say that Bobby has got a letter from Pam which tells that Pam wants a divorce. Sanda had heard that message from her friend Katherine but she doesn´t know that Katherine had wrote that letter herself to break the marriage of Pam and Bobby. Sanda tries to be loyal to her friend and doesn´t want to understand how dangerous her friend really is. Dance is beginning in the Ewing Barbeque. Katherine is beautiful so is Sanda. Bobby invites Katherine to dance. Sanda begins to talk with Pam. - Is it true that your marriage is breaking up, says Sanda - I am afraid it is, Pam answers. Sanda thinks : How come. They seem to be very happy couple. What´s wrong ? Bobby dances with Katherine twice but he soon sees her friend Sanda. Bobby says: - Do you want to dance ? Sanda says : - Lovely Katherine shows her own nature and says : - Well, Sanda is only visiting here, my friend, she wants only to look the Ewing Barbeque as an outsider. But Bobby says : - I really want to dance with your friend. She´s beautiful and seems very nice. Katherine looks them with an evil eye. Sanda and Bobby dance many times. Everyone sees that there is some strange chemistry between them. Bobby feels something which he hasn´t felt before he met Pam. Bobby has a very tender touch in his arms. Soon they look each other with passion. Bobby says : - Sanda, you are something special Sanda herself couldn´t say nothing. They have a very tender kiss. The night went on in the Southfork Ranch but soon some people noticed that Bobby and Katherine´s friend Sanda had disappered. The new life had started with Sanda and Bobby.
