For Sanda...thanks for the idea, hope you like it
Bobby was having lunch in his office. It had been a crazy day. Phyllis had been busy calling him all day and finally he had to ask her to hold his calls.
“Too bad your home phone isn’t ringing off the hook like that,” JR laughed.
“Excuse me?” Bobby asked, afraid of the reply.
“Back in the day you had all the ladies lining up for you. Ever since your divorce all you’ve been staying home alone, crying over your drinks. I think you ought to let me fix you up with someone.”
“No thanks. If your last attempt to fix me up with a woman is any indication of the kind of company you keep, I think I’ll pass.”
“Come on, Bobby, you’re no fun any more. Your divorce has sucked the life right out of you.”
“I’ll give you two choices: go back to your office voluntarily or go back with a split lip. What’s it going to be?” Bobby wasn’t a violent man but he wasn’t afraid of his brother. JR was really getting on his nerves.
“Easy there, baby brother, just remember I’m here for you whenever you need it.” JR grinned and left his office.
Bobby shook his head. His brother was one of a kind, thank goodness.
The buzzer went off. “Phyllis I thought I told you I didn’t want to be disturbed.”
“I’m sorry Bobby. It’s Christopher’s day care. He’s been bit by another student. They can’t reach Pam.”
“Tell them I’ll be right there.”

“I’m Bobby Ewing, Christopher’s father.”
“Right this way.”
“Mr. Ewing, this is Miss Jones, Christopher’s teacher. She can explain what happened, “ the director introduced them and then walked away
“Please, call me Sanda,” she smiled as Bobby picked up a crying Christopher. “He’s fine now but he’s been asking for you ever since it happened. He was playing with another student and he took the child’s toy and then the student bit him. We separated the two immediately and tried to reach Mrs. Ewing. And when we couldn’t, we contacted you.”
Bobby hugged and kissed his son. “Are you okay, son?” he asked, wiping away his tears and patting him on the back.
“Yes daddy. I love you.”
“I love you too.” He turned back to the teacher. “Thank you for calling me. You can get ahold of me any time. I will always come down here for my son. He is the most important thing in my life. It hasn’t been easy ever since his mother and I divorced but I am always available for him 24 hours a day.”
“Daddy may I play?”
“Do you want to finish out your day?”
“Yes Daddy.”
“We’ll keep a very close eye on him. We’d love to have him Mr. Ewing. “
Bobby set Christopher down. “I’ll come get you if you have any more trouble. All right, son, you go play.” He turned to Sanda. “Please call me Bobby.” He offered his hand and she shook it.
“I’m sorry about your divorce. I’ve never been through one myself but we have plenty of divorced parents here and they are tough. But Christopher is so well adjusted. You and Mrs. Ewing must have made it an awfully easy transition for him,” Sanda said.
Bobby smiled. “I wouldn’t say it was easy. But we tried our best to set aside our differences when it came to our son. We both believed in putting our son first.”
“You can tell. He is a happy child.”
“Thank you. I like to think he is.”
“You can tell he is very loved. Does he come from a large family?” she asked.
Bobby laughed. “Blissfully so. Sometimes painfully so. Do you come from a large family?”
“No, I’m an only child and I live out here by myself. My parents live in Ohio. I don’t get to see them very often.”
“That must get pretty lonely.”
“I have my children to keep me company,” Sanda smiled.
“Well still, how would you like some real grown up company? My family is having our famous barbeque this weekend and I would love it if you would be my date. Please don’t say no.”
Sanda smiled. “I’d love to, Bobby. That sounds like a lot of fun.”
“Watch out for my brother JR. He’s a real vulture.”
“If he’s related to you how bad can he be?”
Bobby laughed. “You have no idea.”
And the two continued to date. Pam wasn’t happy about it, but she was thankful that Bobby had found someone that was good was Christopher. Sanda and Bobby eventually settled down and had a set of twins, Patrick and Victoria. Sanda didn’t have to keep working, but she did because she loved children so much. Christopher loved his new baby brother and sister. And Bobby was right, Sanda did have to watch out for JR but she handled him just fine. Life was fine for the new Mrs. Ewing.
