Blood Bank (Another short story for Sanda)

It is so sad we all are not writing much anymore. I am sorry I have been so down recently that I haven't really written anything. Here is a short story for you Sanda, I hope you like it.

Blood Bank

Reid was asked by Mona Cross to spend some time in the blood bank because they were short of staff. Reid was quite annoyed taking blood was not exactly the thing he wanted to do when he became a Neurosurgeon. He does it all the time mostly because he didn't have patience to wait for a Nurse so he would take it himself. He was going to say he was not going to do it but he decided people were coming in to donate blood and the Hospital needed it so he decided to go down and help out for a couple of hours. He wondered if Chris Hughes was asked he really didn't think so. He knew Mona was asking him to just to bug him but he was not going to give her the satisfaction to complain about him. He finished his rounds, and went down to the Blood Donor clinic at 1pm. He was starving but he would wait until he finished at the clinic before getting something to eat.

He walked into the Clinic and was surprised there was a lot of people there to donate their blood. There was two Nurses there one getting the people's information, and the other drawing blood. They see Reid and they are shocked wondering what he was doing here. He walked over saying he will draw blood he was helping out for two hours. He walked over to one of the beds, and introduced himself to the guy. He drew the blood, and than he told the guy to go over and have some juice and a cookie, and sit in the seats for a little while to make sure he was ok. He was doing quite a few patients than a beautiful woman walked over sitting on the bed. Reid turned around, and he could tell she was nervous.

"This your first time"

"Yes and I am so nervous I just hope I don't faint"

"Well you will be laying down so if it happens you will be fine. It will only hurt when I put the needle in but it is basically like getting blood taken at your Doctors office. You have more blood taken being a donor but I am sure you will be fine"

"What is your name"? The lady asked Reid

"Sorry I am Dr. Reid Oliver, and I see your name is Sanda"

"Yes"

"You ready to get started"?

"I think so" Reid started he told her everything he was doing. Sanda was looking at Dr. Oliver she has never seen a more sexy man in her whole life. She felt like she couldn't breathe but not from having her blood taken it was because she was looking at Reid's lips wondering what it would be like to kiss him.

"Sanda you ok"?

"Oh yes I was just thinking"

"About what the needle is in, and it is almost over. I told you everything would be fine"

Sanda smiled, "I barely felt the needle go in, I guess thinking of something else really does help"

Reid smiled as he took the needle out, and he put the gaze on her arm, and told her to hold it tight until he got a bandage. She held it tight he got the bandage, and was putting it on her when a man walked over, and Reid smiled.

"Hey Frank what are you doing here"?

"I came to get my Daughter did she give you any trouble"?

"Sanda is your Daughter I should have known by her last name. She was great no problem at all"

Sanda smiled, "My Dad thought I would cry like a baby"

"No she was a perfect patient"

They talked for awhile than Reid had to get back to work. Frank and Sanda left the Clinic while Reid watched. He didn't know why because he has been alone most his life but he almost asked Sanda out to dinner. He knew now he couldn't because he wouldn't want to upset Frank. He smiled and continued working but all he could think about was Sanda, and how cute she was.

Frank and Sanda were driving home when Sanda asked her Father if he knew Reid well.

"You mean Dr. Oliver"?

"Yes is he married or does he have a girlfriend"?

"He is single I don't think he is dating I hear the Nurses talking about him. Why are you asking me these questions Sanda"?

"Daddy don't freak out but I think he is so cute, I really like him"

"Sanda you just met him but Dr. Oliver is a good man, I like him"

"Really can we ask him to dinner someday"?

"Sanda you want me to invite Dr. Oliver to dinner"?

"Please Dad"

"Sure Angel I will ask but I don't want you to get hurt."

"Dad it is just dinner and maybe he will ask me out on his own you never know"

"Sanda you are going to get a lecture from your Mother but I will ask him tomorrow but I hear he loves to eat and your Mom will make you help her with the meal"

"I am going to get Grandma's cookbook out and find the perfect things to make. I am so excited this is the best day of my life"

Frank smiled, "Giving blood was fun I see"

"Yeah it didn't hurt at all"

Frank laughed as Sanda kept talking he could see she was so excited, and he was happy to see her excited but he sure hoped Reid didn't hurt his Daughter.

Great start to your new Reid and Sanda story. :)I love your new Reid and Sanda story you are writing for me so much already. Reid and Sanda are so cute and adorable together while Sanda was donating blood for the first time. I can't wait for Reid and Sanda to become a couple in this story even though they just met while I was donating blood for the first time. :)I love that Reid and my dad Frank already know one another in this story. :)I also can't wait for my dad to ask Reid to join us for dinner at our house. I hope that Reid says yes when my dad invites him to join us for dinner. I can't wait to find out how my Dad and Reid know one another and can't wait to read about the lecture my mom is going to give for fallin for Reid so fast in this story. Chapter 2

Sanda and Frank got home they went into the house. Carol walked over smiling and gave Sanda a hug asking her how she was feeling?

"Ok Mom it wasn't all that bad"

Frank smiled but said, "Yeah only because she thought the Doctor taking the blood was cute"

"Pardon what are you talking about Frank"?

"Tell her Sanda tell her how you would like Dr. Oliver to come to dinner one night"

"Mom Reid is so sweet, and he is cute he has such a sweet smile"

Carol touched Sanda's shoulder saying, "Reid you call a Doctor by his first name"

"Well we are friends now, and Dad knows him and said he is a great Doctor"

"He is Carol he was the first Doctor that sat and had a coffee with me one day when I was volunteering at the Hospital"

"Since when do they have Doctors working at the blood bank"?

"They don't normally but they would if they have a shortage of staff. I think it would be ok to have Reid come over to dinner one night."

"I use to give blood never once did I get feelings for the person taking the blood" Carol said and Frank walked over pulling Carol into a kiss saying.

"I would hope not because we were married at the time"

"You know what I mean Frank"

Sanda lifted up Tegan who came over to greet her. "Mom please I know you think it is weird I get that but can I invite Reid over for dinner"

"Yes but what would we cook I have no idea what he likes or doesn't like"

"Maybe we can order in Mom" Sanda said but Carol turned to her.

"No way you are going to help me make your new friend a meal."

Frank smiled, "I thought you wanted to go through Grandma's cook book Sanda"

"Well I thought maybe I could get away with take out food but I will go check out Grandma's cookbook now"

Sanda walked into the kitchen with Tegan as Carol turned looking at Frank.

"You really like this Dr. Oliver"?

"Yes he is nice and it wouldn't hurt for Sanda to make new friends. I think you will really like him but some of his jokes make people mad at times so have a open mind"

"Sanda seems to really like him what if he hurts her"

"We can't worry about what ifs Carol our daughter is a woman and she likes Reid so lets see what happens"

"I trust you if you think this is a good idea I am with you"

Frank smiled as he gave his beautiful wife a kiss. Sanda came running out of the kitchen, and said.

"Mom I found a couple of things that look really good come, and see what you think". Carol said she would be right there. Frank smiled as Carol walked into the kitchen. Carol sat down at the kitchen table and Frank watched as Sanda was showing her Mom the different recipes, and he could see how excited Sanda was he just hoped Reid will come for dinner because he would hate to see his Daughter hurt if he didn't.

Cute update Jessie. Sanda and her dad Frank are so cute and adorable together with Sanda's mom Carol and her cat Tegan. My parents ate so cute together in this story ss well. I love that my mom was interrogating me and my dad Frank about our new friend Reid. I hope Reid agrees to come to our house for dinner when my dad invites him over for dinner. I love that my dad and Reid know each other already in this story because they work together at the hospital. Chapter 3

Reid was finished with his shift at the Blood bank. He didn't know what was going on he just couldn't get Sanda out of his mind. She was so sweet, and he really hoped she was doing ok after giving blood. He went upstairs to grab his coat, and some paperwork to take home. He walked by Bob Hughes office, and decided to go in.

"Hey Bob I survived my shift in the blood bank."

"Great you going home for the night"

"Yes but first I wanted to ask you a favour"

"Sure what is it"?

"Well I met a young lady today who was giving blood. You know Frank White she was his daughter, and I wanted to check up on her. Could you give me Frank's phone number he probably wouldn't mind since we all work here"

"Reid you know it is against the rules to give out phone numbers. I am sure Frank would not mind but I will call him first, and you can talk to him if he says it is ok"

"Ok"

Bob looked up Frank's phone number, and called him at home.

"Hello"

"It that you Frank"?

"Yes"

"Oh hi it is Bob Hughes"

"Dr. Hughes is something the matter"?

"Oh no I have Dr. Reid Oliver here he wanted your phone number. He wanted to check on your Daughter to see how she was doing after her blood donation today"

"You can put him on the phone that is ok"

Bob handed Reid the phone, and Reid said "Hello"

"Hi Reid my Daughter is fine and it was very nice of you to check up on her"

"I was a little worried she was very nervous."

"Reid I was wondering would you like to come to dinner here Friday night to meet my wife, and of course you can see Sanda again"

"You are inviting me to dinner"?

"Yes if you can make it I would understand if you are to busy"

"Oh no I would love to come for dinner. I was just shocked I don't get invited to often. I would love to meet your wife, and see Sanda again. You really have a lovely daughter she is very sweet"

"Well it is settled than we will see you at 6pm Friday is that a good time for you"?

"Yes I only have a half day Friday so I will be there at 6"

"Great see you than" Reid and Frank hung up, Bob smiled as Reid said, "I got a dinner invite"

"Frank is a nice man Reid that is nice"

"I will let you go Bob I need to go home and get something to eat, and turn in I am exhausted"

"Goodnight Reid thanks for helping out in the Blood bank today"

"No problem." Reid left with a huge smile on his face thinking it was his lucky day helping out in the Blood Bank Clinic today. If he didn't he never would have met Sanda, and he couldn't wait to see her again Friday couldn't come fast enough.

Frank hung up, and walked to the kitchen.

"You will never guess who was on the phone"?

"Who"? Carol said

"It was Reid Oliver he was checking up on Sanda. I invited him for dinner and he accepted. Sanda jumped up running over to her Father giving him the biggest hug.

"I have to go see what I will wear we already have the dinner planned out." Sanda ran down to her room as Carol and Frank smiled at each other because they have never seen Sanda more excited about something as she was about this dinner party for Reid.

[Sanda]

Cute update Jessie. I love that Reid went to by visit Dr. Bob before he left the hospital for the evening and that he asked Dr. Bob to call my dad Frank and ask him how I was doing after I donated blood for the hospotsl. I love the talk between my dad and Reid in this chapter. I am so happy that Reid agreed to come to our house for a dinner party. I can't for the dinner party on Friday so Reid and Sanda can see each other. I can't wait for Reid to meet my mom and Tegan in this story. I hope you update this story for me again really soon.

Chapter 4

Reid was driving home he picked up a pizza for himself. He moved out of Katie's a few weeks ago when Chris wanted to move in. He hated leaving but he knew it would be awkward living there with Chris and Katie. He drove up his driveway, and parked. He grabbed his coat, folders, and the pizza, and walked up the steps and opened the door. He had to admit he hated coming home to a empty house. He has bought some furniture, and he had a big screen TV but it was pretty lonely having no one in his life to share his home with. He put the pizza on the table he walked over to get a soda. He sat down and was eating his pizza when he decided to call Katie, and tell her about his day. He called on his cell phone, and waiting to see if she answered.

"Hello"

"Hey Katie it is Reid"

"Hi what's up"?

"You busy or can you talk for a bit"

"Chris is in the shower and Jacob is in bed. I am watching Revenge but I can talk"

"Katie I met someone today at the Blood Bank Clinic that I was helping out in today. She is the daughter of one of our volunteers here. He is a great guy everyone loves him at the hospital. I got Bob to call Frank to check up on Sanda because I know she was nervous when she gave blood. I talked to Frank, and he asked me to dinner on Friday. Katie can I trust you not to say anything to Chris or anyone about what I am going to say to you"

"I will not say anything now you are driving me nuts what is wrong"?

"Nothing is wrong but I am freaking out because I really like Sanda. How can that be we just met, and she was so sweet, and I like her a lot"

"Oh my God Reid Oliver that is so amazing. I hate you being alone in that house maybe she is the one"

"Slow down we just met but I am nervous can you believe that. I don't want to scare her away, I would like to get to know her. I don't know if she is the one but I would like her as a friend too. Everyone hates me in this blasted town, I don't want her or her family to hate me"

"They invited you to dinner I can bet it was Sanda that asked her Dad to ask you"

"You think so"?

"Yes so just be yourself and if you don't like something they make don't be honest lie, and pretend it is the best thing you ever ate"

"I will what should I wear"

"Something casual but nice how about your sexy black jeans and a nice white shirt"

"What is it with my black jeans Katie you always tell me to wear them"

"Well you are hot in them Reid"

Reid smiled, "Great I will think about wearing my black jeans. I better let you go and watch your show. I miss you and Jacob Katie you know how much I love you both right"

"I know we love you too. Jacob is excited about the soccer game you are taking him too on Saturday. He has been practicing with Chris but he says you play soccer better than Chris"

"That's my boy" Reid said but laughed making Katie laugh.

"Reid promise me you will call me Friday after your dinner with Sanda and her family. If you really like her maybe you can invite her to the soccer game, and bring her here after the game for dinner"

"I will call you and let you know. Goodnight Katie but remember keep this between us"

"I will goodnight Reid" They hung up Katie smiled as she looked at the TV but all she could think about was maybe Reid has found someone special to share his life with.

Cute update Jessie. I love that Reid was eating pizza for dinner. I love pizza. I loved the friendship between Reid and Katie on the show. :)I LOVE the talk between Reid and Katie in this chapter. I hope that Katie is able to keep her mouth shut and not tell Chris that Reid met a woman (me) while he was working at the blood bank at the hospital. :)I hope that Reid has a good time at the dinner party at my house and I hope that me, Tegan, and Reid get along well and that we get to be a family together. I also hope that Reid likes my mom as well when he meets her on Friday night at the dinner party. Reid deserves to have a good woman and a cute cat in his life to come to at the end of a long hard day. I hope you update this story for me again really soon. Chapter 5

It was the next morning Reid could barely sleep. He couldn't get Sanda out of his mind. He was tired but happy at the same time. He got dressed he grabbed his things his car keys and left the house. He drove to work he parked the car, and went inside. He went to his floor, and walked to his office. He sat down and was going through the files for the day. He heard a knock at the door, and he was surprised to see Frank and Sanda. He got up almost dropping the files because for the first time in his life he was so nervous. He put his hand out to Frank saying Hi than he smiled at Sanda.

"I hope you don't mind us dropping by. Sanda made some cookies for some of the staff and she wanted to bring you some too" Frank said

Reid smiled, "I love cookies Frank knows I basically eat everything. One day I was eating a TV dinner and he shared his sandwich with me because the TV dinner tasted so bad."

"I hope you like Chocolate chip"? Sanda said

"Yes but you really didn't have to do this but thank you so much"

Sanda smiled as Frank said, "Well we should let you get back to work. I have to help Steve on the 2nd floor with something. Sanda maybe you can wait for me in the cafeteria" Frank said

"Yes Dad" She said goodbye but Reid touched her shoulder saying, "Would you mind some company, I could use a good cup of coffee with these cookies"

"Sure if you don't mind"

Frank smiled, "So I can leave you two alone. I will see you in the cafeteria Sanda. Thanks Reid see you later too"

Frank left and Sanda was a little shy but so was Reid.

"Well lets go down, I have no surgeries today so I can take a break. I basically have paper work and rounds to do today."

Reid and Sanda left the office and Sanda could see all the Nurses and some Doctors looking at them. She wanted to smile because by the looks on their faces they were shocked that Reid was having break with her. They got to the elevator they both got on, and went to the ground floor. Reid and Sanda went to the cafeteria Reid asked her if she had breakfast. She didn't but she wasn't so sure she should tell him but he said he was starving he was going to have a egg omelet and hash browns than he would try one of her cookies. She was starving too so she said she would have the same. They ordered their breakfasts they walked over getting two coffees. Reid paid and they walked over to a table and sat down as Reid went to get them the cutlery to eat. Sanda was so nervous it was like she was on a date. Reid walked over handing her the cutlery as he sat down, and they both smiled as they started to eat.

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Sanda are so cute and adorable together with Sanda's dad Frank. I love that me and .my dad Frank brought Reid some chocolate chip cookies. I love how nervous Reid and Sanda are around each other when my dad Frank left us alone in Reid's when he went to go help out on the second floor. I love that me and Reid are going to be having breakfast together in the cafeteria while we wait for my dad to join us after he helps Sam on the second floor. Chapter 6

Reid was eating he doesn't date he has in the past but not for a long time. He was not good with words he normally hurt people's feelings not even realizing he did it. He really liked Sanda so he knew he should say something to make her feel more comfortable around him.

"Sanda do you come visit your Father much"?

"Yes I help him with meals on wheels too."

"That is sweet your Father is well loved around here."

"My Dad loves helping people both my parents do. You will like my Mom to when you come to dinner Friday"

"I am sure I will"

Sanda smiled, "Reid my Dad said you are a Neurosurgeon."

"Yes"

"It must be a scary job"

"It can be but I love my job and I love knowing I gave someone back their life after a illness or serious accident"

"You don't date Reid"

"No my friend Katie has tried to set me up with a few ladies they were ok but not my type"

"What is your Type"?

Reid didn't know what to say but he said, "I don't really have a type I would just know when I saw her that she was someone I would like to get to know better"

"That is sweet so you have not found that person yet I guess"

Reid smiled, "Sanda are you asking me if I am interested in you"?

"Oh my God no I was just asking questions my Parents say I never know when to stop talking."

Reid smiled, "That is ok because I was going to say you are someone I would like to get to know better if that is something you would like"

Sanda was excited, shocked and nervous she didn't know what to say but she whispered.

"I would like to get to know you better too"

Reid reached over touching her hand saying, "Lets eat, and than we can have one of these cookies you made."

"Ok" They both were eating but they couldn't keep their eyes off of each other. They both were not use to dating and the whole getting to know each other thing but they sure knew they were going to see where this was going to go because they both had feelings for each other and they knew if they blew a chance to get to know each other they may regret it the rest of their lives.

[Sanda]

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Sanda are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I love that I was asking Reid a ton of questions and I love that I told Reid that my parents said that I never know when to be quiet. I love to talk all the time and it drives them nuts. Chapter 7

Reid and Sanda were eating and after enjoying the cookies. Reid really enjoyed talking with Sanda. She made him laugh and that was rare for Reid. He was surprised someone as sweet as Sanda would like someone like him.

Sanda smiled, "Penny for your thoughts"

"Pardon"

"Something people say when someone is thinking really hard and not listening to a word I am saying"

"Oh I am sorry I was just distracted that is all"

Sanda smiled but she suddenly felt sad maybe Reid was getting bored talking to her. She knew she talked to much but she couldn't help it she loved talking to people. She loved making new friends, and Reid was someone she really was starting to like a lot.

"Sanda are you ok you are awful quiet all of a sudden"

"I think maybe I talk to much and you are getting tired of listening to me"

Reid was shocked he touched her arm saying, "Not at all I love talking to you. I was wondering how someone like you would like someone like me"

"Why would you say that Reid"?

"Well I don't have many friends, I think it is my own fault. I focus on my work and never really mingle with people. I guess you would call me a loner. I was never really popular growing up because I always seemed to worry about my Studies and I was focused because all I wanted was to be a Neurosurgeon"

"Why a Neurosurgeon"?

"My Grandpa died from brain cancer. I loved him he was the one person who got me. My parents were great but my Grandpa would talk to me like I was someone special"

"I am so sorry you lost him how old were you when he passed"?

"I was 15 years old it was the worst day of my life. My Mom and Dad live in California and I rarely see them but it is my fault. My Dad had other plans for me he wanted me to be in the family business but I said no, and I paid my way through University. I know my Grandpa would be proud and I wanted to help other people who had head injuries or Brain problems."

"He would be very proud of you"

"Enough about me tell me something about yourself"

Sanda smiled, "I am no Brain Surgeon but I love helping with Meals on Wheels and other charity work I do with my Parents. I love writing and reading, and I love travelling with my Parents. I love my cat Tegan he is my Baby"

"Maybe someday we can travel together"

Sanda smiled, "I would love that"

Reid and Sanda smiled and than they took another cookie all the while they looked at each other wondering what it would be like to kiss each other.

[Sanda]

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Sanda are so cute together getting to know one another. I can't wait for them to share their first kiss. I think it would so cute if my dad walked in on them sharing their first kiss in the hospital cafeteria. I hope you update this story for me again soon.

Chapter 8

Sanda and Reid were talking and she had him laughing telling him stories of things Tegan has done. Reid reached over tiuching her hand making her stop talking.

"Is something the matter Reid"?

"No I just want to" he moved close and kissed her. She felt so happy she wrapped her arms around his neck, and they continued kissing.

Reid and Sanda had a audience a few nurses and Doctors were shocked to see Reid kissing a beautiful young lady. He was respected by everyone as a wonderful Doctor but was also known as the Grump by most Nurses.

Just as they continued kissing Frank walked into the cafeteria to get a coffee and got quite a surprise seeing his daughter and Reid kissing. He walked over and they didn't notice until he pretended to cough to get their attention. Reid got up explaining but Frank laughed saying it was ok they were grown ups but they would be the talk of the Hospital.

Reid didn't care because he was so happy, and kissing Sanda was something he had been wanting to do since the first time he met her. Sanda was still speechless from the kiss.

"You must be a great Kisser you made my daughter speechless."

Sanda smiled but said "Dad"

Frank sat down Reid said he would get him a coffee.

Sanda smiled at her Dad who touched her cheek and whispered, "You like him a lot I can tell. I'm really happy for you."
