Story Dedicated to Melinda you asked me to write. I have to start it after Season 4 ended, and I will have Carol reunited with the Group. This will end up being a happy story not all tragic we see enough of that on the show. I hope you like it Melinda, and Sanda I hope you enjoy it too.

A Bond that was never Broken

Daryl, Rick and the group that was captured at Terminus were stuck in the trailer. It was hot, and they all were starving, and starting to think they would die in this place. Daryl, Rick, and the other men tried everything to get out of this trailer but they couldn't. They didn't even know what time it was or how many days they were stuck in this trailer. Daryl was laying by the door when he heard someone trying to open the door. Daryl got up, and woke Rick and Abraham up. They all stood waiting for the door to open. They wondered what was taking so long they heard the person struggling when the door finally started to open. Daryl ran over if he was going to die he was going to kill the person that was coming to get them. He grabbed the person and pulled him to the ground but he heard a voice behind him that he thought he would never hear again.

"Daryl stop we came to help"

Daryl turned the man around and was shocked to see Tyreese staring at him. Carol was holding Judith they all were shocked. Tyreese got up, and Sasha ran over giving him a hug.

"Listen all of you we have to go now or you all are dead." Tyreese said as Rick walked over to Carol, and said, "Can I have my daughter now"

Carol handed Judith to Rick but Tyreese walked over, and said, "She saved Judith show her some respect"

"Tyreese don't bother I know what these people think of me" Carol said

Rick stared at her as Carol said they couldn't stay here any longer. She knew she no longer was part of the group but saving Judith was one thing she was proud of. She didn't want Rick to thank her but he would know he was wrong when he said she couldn't be trusted around the children. They go outside, and Rick turned saying they all had to leave.

"What about the others the ones we heard screaming from inside"? Daryl said

"We have to protect ourselves they might already be dead" Rick said

Rick and the others were running toward a exit Tyreese made for them when Daryl stood looking at the building but he felt a hand touch his shoulder. He turned looking at her as she said.

"Daryl if you go in I will help you" Carol said

Daryl hated what he was about to do but he grabbed her hand and he started to run toward the exit. He couldn't stand the thought of letting her down and getting both of them killed was to hard to bare. They got out of the exit, and they couldn't see the others.

"Where did they go"? Daryl said but Carol wasn't sure but she knew they had to be close.

Carol thought Tyreese might have taken them back to the place they spend a night in. It was small but safe and they could go there and think about what to do next.

"I think Tyreese took them to the place we stayed at 2 nights ago."

"How did you and Tyreese find each other"?

"It is a long story but right now you need to find your Group"

"My Group it is our group"

"You saw how Rick treated me Daryl I can't stay with him"

"Forget about Rick the others love you"

"Does that include you too"?

Daryl smiled, and finally said, " I love you and I am so sorry I let you down" He hugged her so tight as she held him not wanting to let him go.

Jessie, great start to your new Carol and Daryl story you are writing for Melinda. :)I hope things work out for Carol and Daryl after Daryl has finally told Carol that he loves her. I hope you update this Carol and Daryl story you are writing for Melinda again really soon.

Chapter 2

It was getting late, and Daryl knew they had to find somewhere to stay the night because they couldn't find the Group. Carol was sure Tyreese would have taken them somewhere where they stayed but it was at least another 2 hour walk. Daryl was not going to take a chance being out in the dark, and not having shelter. They found a small house, and Daryl wanted to go in alone to make sure it was safe. Carol wanted to be right behind him but she stayed outside making sure no walkers were near.

Daryl walked to the door, and told her the place was safe. She went inside, and Daryl moved a cabinet in front of the door to be safe. He was exhausted, and hungry, and he was afraid he might fall asleep, and they would be attacked. He was glad there was only one door, and two windows. He laughed there was a bed, a toilet with bottle water beside it. He thought someone was staying here but not recently. He was looking in the cabinets he found some cream corn which he always hated he loved corn on the cob but cream corn was like barf. He walked over to Carol, and said, "Do you eat this crap"?

"Not my favourite but I would"

"Good because I am eating this spam I don't think this ever goes bad". Carol laughed we could share you know"

"I am starving girl I have not eaten in days. You expect me to share this little can of spam"

"You eat it I was joking" Carol walked over sitting on the bed she was exhausted, and starving she ran out of food 2 days ago. Daryl was looking through the drawers and found the can opener, and was opening the spam. He opened her cream corn, and handed it to her. She looked at it and felt like she was going to be sick. It reminded her of Ed he loved Cream corn, and wanted it for supper almost every night of the week. He would get so angry if she made a different vegetable so she stocked up on cream corn, but right this moment she knew if she ate the corn it wouldn't stay down. She would die for a piece of chocolate cake right this moment.

'What is wrong with you why are you not eating"?

"I will just give me a few minutes my feet are killing me"

"No wonder you wearing those army boots they are not meant for girls"

"First I am a lady and second there is not a shoe store near by to go pick out another pair."

"You being funny with me"

"No I am in a mood why didn't they wait for us Daryl"?

"They were saving themselves which is right. Why are you scared to be alone with me"?

Carol smiled, "No why should I be"

Daryl smiled, "I don't know you are looking good Carol"

They both laugh as he walked over sitting beside her handing her the Spam saying he was willing to share with her. She took a little and put it in her mouth and made a face making Daryl laugh as tried real hard to swallow it.

Cute update Jessie. Carol and Daryl are so cute and adorable together discussing what food they are going to eat out of the pantry. I don't blame Carol for almost getting sick when though about having to eat creamed corn since her lousy ex husband Ed forced her to make that for him to eat everyday when they were married. I am so glad Daryl agreed to share the can of spam with her. I hope you update this story again soon. I love all of your one shots and stories you write and post on my message board.

Chapter 3

Daryl finished eating he took his shoes off and checked once more to make sure the house was safe from any unwanted visitors while they slept. Carol was sitting on her side of the bed watching Daryl move around the room. He walked over putting his bag and his Bow and arrows beside the bed. He got in laying down as he said.

"Get some sleep we have a early start". He shut his eyes as Carol said nothing she was staring at him.

Daryl could feel her staring he sat up and said, "You have a problem laying beside me"

"No"

"Why you still sitting there like a scared child"?

"I am not acting like a scared child why are you being so mean"?

"I'm tired my day was pretty crappy remember"

"Yeah well mine was to remember"

Carol wanted to cry she thought he would ask her what happened after Rick just abandoned her or what happened when she hooked up with Tyreese. It was like he could careless, and it made her sad. The whole time she was out there alone and scared the only thing that kept her going was the thought of seeing Daryl again. She barely slept but after she found Tyreese and the girls she did get some sleep but not much. The whole ordeal with Lizzie and Mika was something she wanted to forget but the images will never leave her mind. Carol finally rolled over as Daryl looked at her seeing she was upset but he knew she needed comfort but he didn't know how to do it.

"Carol" Daryl said but she didn't say anything but he could tell she was upset so he reached over touching her arm making her pull away.

"Get some sleep remember you had a bad day"

"You want to talk than talk Carol"

"God why do all the men in my life hurt me. My husband beat the crap out of me for years. Rick just up and threw me out of the Group like I was never part of the group but I was. I did so much for you all I deserved better than that. You I have been thinking about you everyday since Rick left me all alone, and now you can't even talk to me. I feel like I have no one, I feel like maybe I should have died after I found out Sophia died because I have nothing in this miserable life to look forward to"

Daryl was shocked he was angry but she was right. He was so disappointed in himself to even think she needed someone to talk to. He felt like he let Beth down and he didn't want to get close to anyone because it hurt so much. He knew he was already in deep with Carol because she was always on his mind. He felt he let her down not being there for her when Rick kicked her out of the group without telling anyone. He felt like he let Merle down he was his Brother and he should have been there for him no matter what. His whole life just felt like it was a big old waste of time. He once thought he would find Sophia and maybe Carol and himself could be a family. He wasted so much time being Carol's friend and not what she really needed. She needed a human touch someone to love her and comfort her and protect her. She needed to know maybe life sucks right now but she has someone on her side. He could see she was hurting and every fiber in his being wanted to hold her close, and make love to her all night. He knew if he kissed her he would never stop. He knew there would be no going back if they made love because he was fooling himself all this time. He has never wanted anyone like he wants Carol right now but was he brave enough to tell her how he feels.

Great update Jessie. Carl and Daryl are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I love how shy and ackward hey are around each other because of everything they have been through in their pasts, I would love t strangle Carol's ex husband Ed for the horrible way he treated her in the past. I hope things work out for Carol and Daryl in this story you are writing for Melinda. I hope you update this story again really soon.
