Christmas wishes do come true if you wish hard enough

A fluffy, and probably a corny short story but Merry Christmas Caryl fans. This is for you Melinda you asked me to do a Walking Dead story, hope you like it. I also hope you like it to Sanda since you have become a big Carol, and Daryl fan too.

This takes place before all this crap with the Governor, and Rick being a jerk, and sending her away. This is just a Christmas night at the Prison, and Carol has only two wishes, and one will never come true, but her second wish just might. 

Christmas wishes do come true if you wish hard enough

It was Christmas Eve, and Carol, Hershel, and Beth did their best to make this Christmas special for the children. Carol, and Beth had lost many sleepless nights making things from scraps around the prison for the children. Daryl even came back with some candy that he found on one of his runs, and he actually found some toys, and brought them back. Daryl somehow managed to bring a Turkey he was gone 2 days, but he found one, and brought it back. Carol was a little disturbed when he brought it back, and let the kids run around with it, and than after he picked it up to take it out back to slaughter it for dinner the next day. She was worried about the children but they seemed to understand maybe because they were starving, but Daryl never should have allowed the children to have a bond with the animal. Carol was already worried about Lizzie but after many long talks with her she was getting through to her, and she realized the Walkers were not human anymore they would kill her, and the rest of them in a minute without knowing what they were doing. Lizzie wanted to think of them as humans that were sick, and someday they would be better but that was not going to happen, and Carol had to make her realize. Mika told Carol that Lizzie was on medicine before all this happened, and she was doing well, but after everything happened the medicine ran out, and Lizzie was getting worse. Carol was scared but Hershel told her all they could do for her now was watch her like a hawk, and if she did anything unusual they would have to make sure someone was with her at all times. Carol hated it but Hershel was right because the night she found lizzie under the prison collecting rats she knew Lizzie needed help but at the moment they just had to talk to her, and make sure she stopped putting herself, and everyone else in danger.

That night Carol made sure she tucked every child in bed personally except for Judith. Rick was spending every moment with her, and Carl. The three of them were especially happy which made Carol smile. Rick missed Lori like crazy but recently he as been responding to Michonne, and Carol knew the look Michonne was giving Rick she was loving every moment of it. She got all the kids to sleep she went to the kitchen area, and set the table for breakfast, and she put the presents Beth, and her made under the tree for each child. Daryl walked up beside her, and smiled as he dropped the bag of presents he found on his run. Carol was going through the bag, and she was quite impressed with what Daryl got but he knelt down, and lifted up a doll Carol put under the tree, and it had a card on it saying, Merry Christmas Judith, love from Carol, and Sophia.

"You are giving Judith Sophia's doll why"?

"Sophia would want her to have it, I wanted to give Judith something special" Carol started to cry, Daryl didn't know what to do but he reached over pulling her close as he wrapped his arm around her, and whispered.

"You have to be the most amazing woman in the world"

"What"?

"You heard me don't make me say it twice, I just think you giving up this doll is a lot "

"I miss her Daryl , I try to be tough but it hurts so bad"

"Don't cry she wouldn't want that" Daryl said making Carol try to stop. She stood up, and whispered.

"I am sorry, I am making you uncomfortable"

"Wait"

Carol stopped Daryl stood up, and walked over to her, and said.

"I wish I could bring her to you but I can't"

"I know you did everything possible, I will never forget that"

Daryl went to touch her face making Carol freeze she was not expecting such emotions from Daryl. He smiled as he whispered, "I can't give you what you want more than anything but I am here if you want me"

Carol was speechless making Daryl a little angry, "You don't want me nice who is the d**n fool". He turned, and walked out of the kitchen, Carol wanted to run after him but she couldn't move. She has waited for so long for him to come around, and now that he basically offered himself to her she was scared to death she would ruin it, and letting him walk away angry probably would be the worst mistake she ever made in her whole life.

Chapter 2

Daryl walked up the stairs to the tower, and opened the door making Glenn and Maggie jump they were kissing.

"God Daryl what are you doing scaring the hell out of us like that"

"Get your skinny butts downstairs, and take the night off, I will keep watch"

"No it is your night off you have been out for 2 days straight, and we thought maybe you, and Carol can spend some time together"

"I need to be alone I don't need anyone, and I don't believe in this Christmas crap"

"Hush Daryl what is wrong with you Carol has tried to make this a special day, and so has my Father, and Beth. You will go downstairs, and relax, and make this Christmas a good one for the kids what is wrong with you Daryl Dixon"? Maggie said

"Nothing is wrong with me, and who are you bossing me". Daryl yelled

"Daryl no one is bossing you go down, and we will keep watch"

"Oh right you guys are sealed at the lips , I feel safe with you both"

"Go Daryl now you are so stubborn" Maggie said making Daryl turn, and walk out of the towel, and go downstairs, and he walked to his cell sitting on the bed kicking his shoes off. He leaned against the wall he was so angry he knew he would not sleep well. He heard someone knock on the cell door, and he could see it was Carol.

"Go away Carol"

"Daryl please may I come in"

"Whatever do what you want woman" Carol walked in carrying something as she sat on the bed, and whispered.

"I wanted to wait until the morning but I thought maybe giving you this now would make you sleep better"

"I don't want anything from you but for you to go away, and leave me alone"

"Daryl I think you got the wrong idea out there, I was in shock when you said what you said. I have dreamed of the day you would say those words to me, and when you did I stood there like a idiot. I never wanted to hurt you Daryl "

"You didn't hurt me"

Carol smiled, "Ok but will you accept this gift from me, I have worked on it for months, I know it is not perfect but I hope you liked it"

Daryl took the gift, and stood up, and opened it up, and said, 'You made me a blanket"

"I learned how to knit as a young girl , and I thought I forgot but Margaret helped me start it, and before I knew it I was making it. I had to wait for wool Michonne got me some, and Maggie, and even Glenn, do you like it"?

"A blanket it has every color in the world in it Carol"

Carol realized she was a fool he would never like a blanket what was she thinking. She stood up, and walked over, "I am so sorry , I just thought it would keep you warm, I didn't know what else to get there is not much to chose from. I am such a idiot maybe I should take it back, "

"Hello no it is mine you can't take it back"

"I am confused"

Daryl sat down looking at the blanket, and she could see he was overwhelmed she sat beside him, and touched his arm.

"You ok Daryl"?

"No one ever gave me a gift for Christmas well I lie Merle did once. He gave me one of his girlfriends for a day, and I was to scared we just talked, and Merle called me a loser"

"Merle is to much he shared his Girlfriend"?

"He had many but only at Christmas, my Mom normally was to drunk to give me a gift. This is beautiful, and you made this yourself"

"Yes it is not perfect but it will keep you warm"

"Will you share it with me tonight"?

"Me"

"Yeah no one else here but you, and me who else"?

Carol smiled as she moved close, and he laid back as he threw the blanket over the both of them as they laid there cuddling.

Cute update Jessie. Carol and Daryl are so cute and adorable together in this story. Chapter 3

Carol and Daryl fell asleep, they felt safe, and happy for the first time since this whole nightmare started. It was morning, and Daryl woke up with Carol laying in his arms, and he never felt such a sense of happiness as he did this moment. Daryl watched as Carol lost her abusive husband, and her little girl Sophia. He remembered all the times they shared a conversation, and he remembered how his heart was beating so fast that he thought it would jump out of his chest. All the innocent touches, and the nights she sat up making sure he didn't need anything after he got hurt trying to find her little girl. He was a coward, and he never wanted to admit it to himself but now that she is laying beside him he realized he had wasted so much time being alone, and miserable.

Carol mumbled in her sleep, and Daryl smiled as he looked down at her. She was beautiful but at this moment she was so cute he couldn't help but smile.

"Daryl" Carol mumbled making Daryl whisper, "Yes" He laughed as she mumbled, "Do you wear boxers or briefs"? Daryl mouth opened as Carol giggled as she leaned on his chest looking up at him.

"You are so bad but if you want to know what I am wearing check for yourself"

Carol smiled, "She lifted the blanket, and put her hands down his stomach, and smiled as she put her hands down his pants they were so loose he took his belt off. She opened her mouth as she whispered, "I knew you went commando you are so naughty but so sexy"

"Oh you better get your hands out of my pants or you will be sorry you will get a Christmas gift to remember"

She giggled as she whispered, "Oh I would like that" He flipped her over, and brought his mouth over hers so rough yet passionate. She has not been kissed in so long she forgot what it felt like having someone's lips over hers. He was fast Carol was shocked Daryl sat up pulling off his shirt, and kicking off his pants making her stare he was even sexier than she thought. She touched his chest as she felt his hands going to her waist as he was helping her take her pants off. She was shaking so much he stopped, and touched her face, and said.

"Do you want me to stop Carol"?

"No"

He was relieved because if she told him to stop he knew it would have been hard because right this moment he never wanted anyone or anything more than he wanted Carol this minute. He moved over her as they kiss, and he was using her hands to make Carol moan out his name as he looked into her eyes. She shut her eyes she needed Daryl she wrapped her arms around him, and Daryl moved over her just as they heard someone pounding on his door.

"Daryl have you seen Carol she was suppose to get up to make breakfast for the kids before they open the gifts" Rick said Daryl was dying he yelled out, "Breakfast can wait a little Carol will be there soon"

"Where is she we have looked everywhere for her the kids are worried"

Daryl was frustrated Carol was trying not to laugh as Daryl yelled, "Rick please can you give a guy a break"

"Daryl think of the kids stop being a Grinch for God Sake". Daryl jumped up grabbing his pants, Carol whispered.

"Daryl wait he will know I am in here"

"Why you ashamed to be with me"?

"No, I am not ashamed but they depend on me, and it is Christmas, I should take care of the children"

Daryl jumped on the bed, "Take care of yourself Carol for once do what you want not what everyone else expects of you. If you want to go , I will not stop you but I need you too Carol"

Carol touched his face, "I need you too Daryl".

Rick knocked on the door, "Hello Daryl are you going to answer the door or not"

Daryl got up walking to the door as Carol pulled the blanket over her. Daryl turned to Carol she said it was ok as he opened the door, and Rick came in but stopped when he saw Carol. Rick was speechless but he finally said.

"How long has this been going on"?

Daryl smiled for a long time Rick but nothing has happened until last night. We have not done anything not sure why I am telling you this, I guess to protect Carol. We will be down to watch the kids open the gifts can you give us a hour Rick"?

"Yeah sure , I better go this is way to awkward" Rick stormed out, and Daryl shut the door, and turned as he smiled as he jumped on the bunk, and went right into Carol's arms.

Cute update Jessie. Carol and Daryl are so cute and adorable together on Christmas morning. :)Rick has lousy timing interrupting them as they are about to make love. I hope that Carol and Daryl will be able to make love in the next chapter. :)I hope you update this awesome story you are writing for Melinda again really soon. ha ha Rick!!! that is so funny!! I can see him being awkward like that lol. This is so good another favorite. Daryl was too cute here, I love where this is going. I know you don't like Rick but I'm glad you added him here, it made this chapter even cuter. But all the Daryl/Carol stuff was just terrific!!

Chapter 4

Daryl looked down at her as he caressed her cheek, her neck , than he smiled as her eyes closed , and her lips parted as he moved down as he brought his lips over hers. He was impatient he wanted to feel the touch of her, he wanted to make love to her but he knew he needed to take it slow. She reached up touching his face, and whispered.

"Why are you stopping Daryl, I thought you wanted me"?

"You know I do but I want to make sure this is what you want"

"I have wanted this for so long , kiss me Pookie". He smiled as he brought his lips to hers than he moved down her neck, and than he brought his lips to breast making her shut her eyes, and moan out his name. Daryl smiled he could see exactly what he was doing to her, and he loved every minute of it. He finally got off the bed, and was kicking off his jeans while Carol watched. She had imagined this moment for so long, and she knew he would look amazing under his clothes but his body was in shape but he had tattoos, and scars making her remember the scars Ed had given her that she had to live with everyday. She reached over touching a scar on Daryl's side as she said.

"Where did this come from was it when you went out alone looking for Sophia"?

"No that was a Present from my Dad most of them are. I know your scars are from you loser husband"

"I know they are disgusting I am sorry". Daryl sat on the bed, "They are not disgusting stop that"

"Daryl I am not pretty, and I am not young anymore but I feel beautiful when you look at me like that"

"Hush with that crap you are beautiful, and who wants a young thing when I can have the Mature woman right here in front of me"

Carol smiled, "Mature that sounds boring"

"No I always loved older woman"

Carol smiled, "We only have a few years difference between us so I am no Cougar"

"Carol are you sure you want someone like me"

"Someone sweet, kind, sexy, moody let me think yes I want someone like you Daryl"

He laid her back as he could see the hunger in her eyes as he positioned himself over her, and she was breathing so fast he knew she was scared, and he couldn't lie he was a little scared too. She looked into his eyes as he entered her, and she grabbed onto his shoulders her body was not use to the attention but she cried out as he continued but he went slow letting her adjust to him than he was losing control as they both moved both totally setting a rhythm that was completely bringing them to the brink of their release. He focused on the ecstasy on her face, and he knew she couldn't take much more she trembled under him sending him to his release as he collapsed beside her. She was breathing so fast as she giggled, and he whispered.

"Something happen that was funny"

"No but why did we wait this long we both wasted enough time alone in our rooms when we could have had this"

"Lets focus on the future forget about the past"

Carol smiled, "What a wonderful Christmas gift Daryl, I must have been a good girl this year" Daryl smiled, "Oh yes you were a good girl, and I even have one more gift for you"

"You do"?

Daryl lifted the blanket, and moved over her again as he whispered.

"I am not ready to share you just yet"

"What about the kids"?

Daryl smiled as he moved his hand down her body making her shiver but she smiled as she said.

"Oh come here Pookie" He smiled as they both came together again, and this time was even more passionate than the first time, and they knew it was going to be hard to get out of this bed now that they finally got it right.

Chapter 5

Daryl and Carol were laying in each others arms they were so content they almost forgot everyone would be waiting for them downstairs.

"Daryl we have to go down, and watch the kids open their gifts"

"I know I just hate that we have to get out of this bed after what we just did"

"We can't stay in bed forever Pookie"

"Hey why not at least we would die happy"

"I don't want to die not after what just happened, I want to grow old with you Daryl"

"You would want that Carol"?

"Don't you"?

"Yeah but I am realistic we will not grow old together be both know it"

Carol sat up, and pulled the blanket with her as she got out of bed leaving Daryl naked. She walked over putting on a pair of underwear, and than she grabbed a pair of jeans, and was putting them on.

Daryl smiled, "Carol slow down come sit beside me"

"No we don't have much time we might not have enough time to see those kids open their gifts. Daryl you had to ruin a great moment, I am not stupid I know we could die any moment but I am not giving up if I was going to do that it would have been when I watched Rick shot my Baby in the head when she turned into a" Daryl jumped up grabbing her, but Carol pulled away crying.

"I thought out of everyone here you were a fighter but I was wrong"

"I am fighting crap girl what is your problem"?

"I want to be happy is that to much to ask? I dreamed of making love to you for months but you took your sweet time finally making a move"

"Why didn't you make a move"?

"I kind of did where I offered myself to you once, and you gave me that Gomer Pyle look like you heard something so out of this world you didn't know what I even said"

"I am no Gomer Pyle, and I wanted you too but I was trying to treat you with respect"

"I want respect but I wanted you Daryl life is short but each day we have to get up, and say we will survive another day. I am fighting so hard because I have to believe there is a reason for all this horror we are going through. If we don't think there is any reason to fight , and that we will die anyway why bother even trying to go on another day"

"God Carol you have a temper on you"?

"I guess I do but I love you Daryl, and all I want is to know we will never give up on each other"

"You love me"?

Carol smiled, "Yeah I love you, I know it is a hard thing to say , and I don't expect you to say you love me too"

Daryl smiled as he lifted her up, and whispered, "No one ever said they loved me not even my Parents"

"Daryl"

"I am yours Carol , and if I make mistakes along the way just know I am new at this love thing, and don't give up on me"

"Never Daryl I am yours you can not get rid of me that easy"

Daryl laid her on the bed but Carol whispered, "The Children first, and than we can spend the rest of the day together if you would like that"

"Oh I would like that a lot" Daryl brought his lips over hers, and they kissed, but he finally got up, and smiled as he dressed, and Carol watched driving him crazy because she truly loved him, and he could see it in her eyes, and it scared the hell out of him, but at the same time he never felt more alive.

Cute update Jessie. Carol and Daryl are so cute and adorable together in this chapter. I so wish that Carol and Daryl were a couple on The Walking Dead. I hate that Rick abandoned Carol and banished her from group and that she is out all alone fending for herself against the walkers snd the zombies on the show. I would like to wish Norman Reedus aka Daryl Dixon a very happy birthday. I hope had a wonderful birthday on Monday. Jessie, I hope you update this awesome story again really soon.
