This was inspired as a followup to Sanda's awesome one shot about us having a Office farewell party.
Jessie, her boyfriend Luke, Sanda and her boyfriend Reid, and Melinda and her boyfriend Craig all got together at Melinda's place for the final episode of The Office. Sanda didn't watch it, but it actually made Reid laugh, so anything that cheered him up was okay in her book.
Melinda and Jessie had been planning this party for weeks. It was going to be so much fun. Melinda started watching the office, and then she told Jessie how good it was, so Jessie started to watch it. But now the time had come for the finale, and everyone was taking bets.
The guys were all saying that Michael Scott would not return. “He's a big star now, what does he want with a silly tv show,” Reid grumbled.
“Behave,” Sanda scolded him. “This is their night. I personally think it would be nice if he paid tribute to the show that made him famous.”
“Want to make a bet?” Reid grinned.
“I think we should,” Melinda chimed in. “If Michael returns, the guys have to clean up. If he doesn't, well the guys have to clean up anyways...”
“Hey,” Craig laughed. “That's not fair.”
“Okay. We'll clean up if he doesn't return.”
Before the episode began, the doorbell rang. Jessie went to get it. “Who ordered Pizza Hut?” she smiled.
Luke spoke up. “Reid and I did. We thought it would be fun to watch the office and eat pizza...besides the messier it gets here the more you girls will have to clean up.”
Jessie rolled up a napkin and threw it at her boyfriend.
Pretty soon the episode started and everyone was getting full from the pizza and soft drinks and breadsticks. Sanda had brought along Tegan to play with Toby, and the cats were getting hungry and meowing from the smell of the pizza.
Reid broke off a piece of his pizza and threw it towards the cats.
.”Hey, Reid, you can't give human food to cats, especially pizza,” Sanda frowned.
“It's not fair they don't know what they are missing out on.”
“Okay, but just one bite each. No more sneaking human food to the cats,” Sanda couldn't stay mad at her boyfriend for very long.
Just then the room got very quiet. The girls let out a big scream, and the guys looked at each other, then the tv screen. It was Michael Scott, he had returned!
“You owe us big time,” Melinda teased Craig.
“I always knew he'd return.”
“Yeah, right.”
So as the girls high fived each other, the cats Tegan and Toby started running around due to all the excitement.
“We'd better quiet down, someone might call the police on us,” Jessie laughed right before Luke fed her a breadstick.
Before long, the episode ended, and all the girls were happy. It was a perfect episode, a perfect evening, a perfect party, and as they all looked at each other, they realized that they all had the most important thing of all...perfect friendships.
