Jessie, Sanda and Melinda were best of friends. Every weekend they got together to talk about men, shopping, shoes, soap operas, and most importantly,their pets. Sanda had a cat named Tegan, and Jessie had a rabbit named Maggie May. Melinda felt left out, she hadn't had a pet in years. One day she called up Jessie crying. She'd had a bad fight with her boyfriend and Jessie knew what to do.
She called up Sanda. “We need to go to the pet store.”
“I thought you said Maggie May would be jealous of another animal,” Sanda laughed.
“It's not for me. It's for Melinda. She's feeling pretty bad and I thought we could do something to cheer her up.”
“Okay. I'll meet you at Petsmart. We're allowed to take pets there if they are on a leash, I'll bring Tegan.”
So a half an hour they met up, and Sanda felt Tegan pulling at his leash. He led her straight to another male cat, a little black and white kitten. Tegan and the kitten started meowing at each other, then Jessie pointed out, “Look Sanda, Tegan's purring!”
They knew right then and there that they'd found the perfect pet for Melinda. After paying for the kitten, they all left with Tegan and the kitten checking each other out and playing all the way to Melinda's place.
“Hey guys what are you doing here?” Melinda asked as she opened the door for them.
“We brought you a surprise. Tegan picked him out,” Sanda said proudly.
Melinda couldn't believe her eyes. In front of her was the cutest black and white kitten she'd ever seen. “Is this for me?”
“Yes, we knew you were having a bad day and we wanted to cheer you up,” Jessie smiled back.
The kitten ran straight to Melinda. She picked him up. “Oh I know what I'll name him. The Office is almost over with forever, I think I'll name him Toby.”
Jessie smiled. She liked Toby too and thought it was a cute name for a cat.
“Good thing they are both boy cats,” Sanda laughed as she watched Toby turn his attention to Tegan.
And so they all sat down, drinking coffee. Melinda put on the final episode of The Office and they all watched it. Everyone, except for Toby and Tegan of course, who were too busy looking around Melinda's apartment.
Yes, they were all friends, especially Tegan and Toby.
The end
