For Sanda...I know how much you would love to see this happen on the show.
ch 1
Bobby opened the envelope carefully. He couldn't believe his eyes when he read what JR had written him. That SOB had done it to him again.
Pam was alive. She was truly alive and living in Brazil. How in the world had JR pulled this off all these years without his knowledge? JR was good, but he wasn't that good. To keep the master of all lies hidden for so many years without anyone's knowledge was truly the handiwork of Satan himself. Satan had better make room for his big brother, Bobby thought bitterly as he reread the note in case this was a dream.
But it wasn't. Enclosed in the envelope was a recent photo of Pam, taken apparently without her knowledge on a beach. She looked a bit different...beautiful but different. This wasn't the Pam he once knew and loved. This had to be JR's idea of a joke.
But with indisputable proof in front of him, Bobby knew what he had to do next. Ann wouldn't understand, but he had to do this. He had to find Pam at least once to tell her all about Christopher. What he would say when and if he saw her, he didn' t know, but he had to at least try to find her.
JR had done the footwork for him, leaving the name of her resort on the back of the photo. That JR sure was a piece of work.
So after saying his goodbyes to Ann and Christoper, Bobby truly started out on the journey of a lifetime.

He looked around anxiously, not sure of what he might find. Brazil was a beautiful place, and it seemed only fitting that Pam spend the rest of her life there. He didn't know what he wanted from Pam, but he knew he wanted peace and he couldn't have it until he found her.
“Hi I'm a friend of Pamela Ewing. May I have her room number please?”
“I'm sorry we have no Pamela Ewing here.”
Bobby thought fast. “Barnes. Pamela Barnes.”
“I'm sorry sir but that is private information. I can't reveal any of our guest's information without their consent.”
“d**n it! Don't you know who I am?” Bobby pounded his fist on the desk. “I'm her husband for God's sake.”
The clerk stared at him. “You're Bobby?”
“Yes...has she spoken of me?”
“A long long time ago. She came here a few years ago and it took her until recently to open up to me or anyone else for that matter. She spoke of you in the past...I thought you were...”
“dead!” Bobby yelled. As he turned around to walk towards the elevator he yelled out a quick thank you and made his way to suite 205.

He knocked on the door several times before the moment he'd been dreaming of for years happened. There he was, in Brazil, staring at the love of his life. She was even more beautiful than he'd remembered her to be.
With a tear forming down her face, Pam finally spoke up. “Bobby? Is that you? Really you?”
“Oh my God Pam...It's me. It's really me. Look at you. You look as beautiful as you did that day I brought you home to Mama and Daddy.”
Self-consciously she put her hand on her somewhat scarred face. “ I didn't want you to see me like this.”
“Why not? Good God Pam do you have idea how much I loved you? That I still do? That you were all that kept me going after JR died?”
“Oh no, Bobby. JR is gone?” she gasped.
“I thought you'd be happy about that.”
With that they both shared a smile. “I thought that would make you glad,” Bobby laughed.
“Bobby it's not funny. I'm not sorry he's gone but I....never mind.”
“what is it honey? What were you going to say to me? You can tell me anything. I promise you this- I'm not going anywhere, not for a long time.”
“It's just that I kind of owe JR my life.”
“What? I thought he did this to you.”
“He did, but he knew its what I wanted. I couldn't stand the thought of you or Christopher seeing me like this. Please don't be mad at JR. It doesn't matter anymore does it?”
As a matter of fact it mattered, very much so indeed. “Pam do you have any idea of what Christopher has been through? Forget me, did you ever stop to think about our son?”
Pam didn't even pause. “Every single day.”
With that, she pulled out a well worn out photo of her, Bobby and Christopher that she'd been carrying around all that time.
Now it was Bobby's turn to pull out a photo. It was Christopher, taken just the previous month. Pam put her hand to her mouth as the tears fell in earnest.
“Is he...is he happy?”
“you'd be proud of him. He's turned out to be a real fine young man. He reminds me of you sometimes.”
As Pam handed him back the photo something caught her eye for the first time. “You're married?”
Now it was Bobby's turn to be speechless.
