His Worst nightmare

New Story about Luke and Reid. I know you love them so much Sanda, I wrote a new version, how the show should have ended. We can pretend poor Luke didn't lose the love of his life.

Chapter 1

Luke screamed as he saw Reid's body after he died. He couldn't lose Reid now, he finally found happiness. He couldn't breath, he wanted to hurt someone, because the pain was unbearable. He wouldn't let go of Reid's hand, if he didn't let go, it wouldn't be true. Lilly and Holden walked into the room, touching Luke's shoulder. "He is gone son, please come with us, they have to take him away". Luke yelled, "No, I will never let him go, he held on to Reid's hand, while Holden and Lily had to physically pull him away from him. Luke walked out of the room, he screamed, "how dare you, can't I be with him, I have to tell him how much I love him"?

"He knew you loved him Luke, stop this".

"You never liked us together Mom are you happy"?

"No, don't say that, you know I'm not like that. I never disliked Reid , I just thought he was a bit sarcastic sometimes"

"Yeah he was Mom, he was that and so many more things. He was my true love, and I can't let him go."

"Bob walked over, "Luke come to my office, you and your Mom, and Dad can talk in privacy".

"What your embarrassed Bob, too bad for you"?

'Luke calm down please". Holden yells

"Reid died saving Chris, is that fair, no it is not". Bob didn't know what to say, he hated seeing Reid die, but his Son was saved because of Reid?. He knew Luke was dying inside, but nothing anyone could say or do would make him feel better. Luke ran down the stairs, Lily hugged Holden, she knew her son, was hurting, and she couldn't reach him. Luke ran outside, he wanted to scream, he hated everyone and everything. He yelled, "Why Reid, you left me why"? He fell to his knee's he couldn't stop crying. He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Katie, she was crying too, and she knelt down to him. "Luke I'm so sorry, I can't believe we lost Reid. I don't know what I'm going to do without my best friend"? Luke hugged Katie so tight, she was crying so was he. They finally calmed down, and he helped her up. They walked to a bench, and they both sat down. She smiled, " what Reid did was so brave Luke".

"Yeah, it was but I'm sorry, Chris doesn't deserve to live and Reid die".

"Reid was dying Luke, he just saved a life before he did".

"How do you know, God could have spared him"?

"Maybe, but Reid never would have suggested that if he knew there was a chance".

"Katie, I don't want to hear that right now, I want Reid to come up, and scare us. I want Reid to do that disgusting slurp noise he does when he drinks soda. I want to hear his laugh, and his stupid jokes. I want to hear him yell at me, when he thought I needed it. I want to feel his arms around me, I miss him so much".

Katie stood up, hugging Luke, and they both cried in each others arms.

Great start to your new story Jessie. Poor Luke and Katie. Please let Reid be alive somewhere and just have Katie and or Luke dreaming that he died. I agree with Luke that Chris didn't deserve to have Reid's heart. Please update soon. ;D

Chapter 2

Katie and Luke sit on the bench, both remembering, Reid, and they can't believe he is gone. Lily and Holden walk over, and ask Luke to come home with them. They will help him plan a funeral, for Luke.

"No, I will plan it , he was my partner, I don't want your help".

"Luke what is wrong with you, why are you acting this way"?

"You don't understand, I'm dying right now, leave me alone".

Holden ran over, grabbing Luke, and he pulled away falling down. Luke hit the ground with a thud, and he looked around, he was in his bedroom. He jumped up, Reid wasn't in bed, he screamed , "no it wasn't a dream". He ran over throwing stuff off the dresser, falling on his knee's crying. He heard the door open he turned, and Reid walked in. "OMG Luke what are you doing, you scared the crap out of me"?

"Reid".

'Yeah, it is me, you broke my expensive cologne".

Luke stood up, walking over to Reid, touching his face. Reid was confused, Luke was acting so strange. "Your not dead"?

"Oh nice, you dreamed I was dead"?

"OMG I don't believe this, it was so real, I thought I lost you".

"I'm here Luke , lets sit down, are you ok".

"Reid if I lose you , I will die. I dreamed you were hit by a train, and you donated your heart to Chris".

" Luke it is a dream, I'm right here".

Luke hugged Reid, he was so upset he couldn't stop shaking. Reid whispered, "Your holding me to tight, I can't breath". Luke started to laugh, but tears fill his eyes, and Reid knew the dream really freaked him out.

"Lets go down, and make a coffee Luke, you are really freaked out". They go downstairs, and Luke sat at the kitchen table. Luke watched him as he made coffee. Reid brought over two mugs, and sat down. The phone rang , and Reid got up, going to the phone.

"Hello".

"Reid OMG thank God you answered, I was so worried".

"Why Katie"?

"Nothing, I just had this weird dream"

"Dream, OMG I didn't die did I"?

"What , why would you say that Reid"?

"Because Luke is here freaking out, he ruined by Old Spice cologne Katie".

"OMG no Reid, what are you going to do"?

"I have to get another bottle, I had that for 2 months you know". Luke was laughing, and Reid smiled, "Katie, I'm fine, me and Luke are going to turn in early, we both are tired".

"Reid I'm sorry, but the dream scared me. I don't know, why would me and Luke have similar dreams"?

"Maybe you both are worried about Chris, he is critical".

"Maybe, I love you Reid".

"I love you too Katie, see you tomorrow". Reid hung up, and walked over to Reid, "want to turn in Luke"?. They both turn everything off, and go up to their room. Reid was cleaning up the mess, Luke was in the shower, he had bad headache. Reid walked over undressing, and jumped into the shower. Luke turned around, " Reid what are you doing"? He smiled moving over to Luke and brought his lips over his. They both held each other, and made love. Reid wrapped his arms around Luke, and whispered, "Is your headache better"?

"Yes ", as he turned kissing Reid passionately.

Great update Jessie. I am soo happy that Reid is alive. I just hope and pray that Katie and Luke's dream about Reid dying doesn't turn into a reality. I LOVED Reid's reaction to Luke and Katie telling about their dream. I LOVE how you put the spin of Pam Ewing's dream from the TV show Dallas into this awesome fanfiction. I LOVE this story soo much. Chapter 3

Luke and Reid dried off, and walked to bed. Reid got in beside Luke, and they made love. They laid holding each other after, Luke touched Reid's face, "if I ever lost you, I would die".

"You won't it was a stupid dream Luke". Luke and Reid fell asleep, and 1 hour later, Luke jumped up screaming out Reid's name. "Luke your having another dream, what is wrong with you"?

"Reid I'm scared, you were hit by a train. OMG it was so real, why am I dreaming about this"?

" I don't know but it is starting to freak me out Luke. Is Katie going to call next both of you have to stop dreaming such horrible stuff". Luke was shaking, they went downstairs to make a tea. They were sitting at the table, Luke was pale, and Reid held his hand. "I'm never going to leave you, I'm going to be around for many many years buddy".

"It is just a dream, I'm sorry Reid". They finish drinking their tea, and they ran upstairs, and went to bed. They both woke up when the alarm went off. Luke turned, "Can you stay home today Reid please"?

"No, I can't Luke, enough with thinking something is going to happen". Luke got up, "I will make breakfast, while you dress". He walked downstairs, and Reid was changing, but he got shivers, this was starting to get to him. He went downstairs, and smiled when Luke had everything ready. They were eating, and Luke was making Reid laugh. He was laughing, "Reid you eat like a slob, can you swallow "?

"I'm starving, it might be my last meal". Reid smiled, but Luke jumped up, "Why did you say that Reid"?

"I was kidding, you and Katie have me dead, I'm starting to feel unloved". Luke ran upstairs, and Reid got up, "way to go Reid, now you will be late for work". Reid ran upstairs, walking into the room, 'Luke I was kidding around, I'm so sorry".

' It isn't funny, I'm scared to death, my dream might come true Reid". Reid walked over hugging Luke, "It won't come true, I'm here to stay.". Reid kissed Luke touching his face, "Cheer up, why don't you come to the hospital, and have lunch with me"?

"Yum hospital food".

"Yeah, I'm use to it Luke, macaroni day that is something special".

"No, Reid you are, see you at lunch", They hugged, and Reid left going to work. Luke made the bed, and cleaned up, he had the day off work. He went downstairs, putting the TV on, and was watching Jerry Springer, he was laughing. He heard the door bell ring, he got up running to the door.

"Katie what is wrong, you look upset"?

"Luke is Reid home"?

"No he is working, what is wrong"?

"I had another dream last night, it was scary. He was in a car, and". Luke yelled ," stop it, he wasn't hit by a train was he"?

"Yes he was it was so real, I'm freaking out".

Luke couldn't catch his breath, he sat down, starting to cry. Katie shut the door, "Luke I'm so sorry, I didn't want to upset you".

"Katie I can't lose Reid, why are we both having this dream"?

"I don't know, but I'm so scared too"?

wow Reid needs to be careful poor Luke. Nightmares can be awful. I hope nothing bad happens to Reid. another wonderful story!

Great update Jessie. Wow Reid needs to be very careful. Poor Luke and Katie, I hope and pray that there nightmares about Reid don't come true. Please don't let anything bad happen to Reid, Jessie. I LOVE this story soo much.

Chapter 4

Luke and Katie had a coffee, than he looked at his watch. "Katie I have to run, I'm meeting Reid for lunch".

Katie left, and Luke got ready, and drove to the hospital. He walked up to the nurses station, asking where Reid was?. Reid walk up behind him, "Hi, Sexy, your early"

"What 10 minutes, I can wait until your ready for lunch"

"I can go now, I'm dying for some macaroni and cheese" Luke laughed, "You are a Doctor Reid, but you really have bad taste in food".

"Whatever", Reid laughed as they walked to the elevator. They went into the cafeteria, and they both ordered macaroni and cheese. Maureen gave Reid extra because she adored him. He smiled, "thanks Maureen, I will remember you at Christmas". They got some soft drinks, and 2 chocolate cakes, and paid, and sat down. Reid was eating so fast Luke whispered, "no one is taking the food away from you , enjoy it".

"I'm starving, I have been on my feet all morning. What have you done all morning Luke"?

"Oh I cleaned up, and watched some Jerry Springer"

"You didn't Luke, that is bad TV".

"Yeah but it is fun to watch". Luke was telling him all about it, and Reid was laughing so hard. Luke couldn't stop looking at Reid, he couldn't lose him. He has to forget the dream, it was scaring him, and he didn't want to upset Reid anymore. Reid clapped his hands, "I was talking, your not listening to me"

" I was just thinking, we need to have some fun Reid"

"Yeah, but I have to work all week, maybe Sunday".

"No, how about tonight, we can go to dinner, and maybe go for a long walk after"

"I love it, I can meet you at "Al's"

"Al's really you want to eat there tonight".

"Yeah, I love it there, I have to get back to work. What are you going to do the rest of the afternoon"?

"Oh not much, love you Reid, see you at Al's at 6".

"6, I will be there, bye", Reid walked away, and Luke smiled, as he got up, leaving the hospital. He went grocery shopping, and brought the groceries home putting them away. He grabbed his new book, and laid on the couch it was only 2. He got threw a couple of chapter's of his book, when he drifted off to sleep. It was minutes later, he was replaying the same dream over again. He jumped up covered in sweat, he couldn't breath. He ran upstairs, getting into the shower. He started to cry, he couldn't take this anymore. He got out of the shower, and walked into the room. He sat on the bed, and touched Reid's pillow. "I can't lose you". He lifted the pillow, and hugged it. He jumped when the phone rang, and he got up grabbing it.

"Hello"

"Hey You, I miss you like crazy".

"Reid you are to much, but I miss you too".

"Luke you sound strange are you ok"?

"Not really but I will be fine, once I meet you for dinner"

"Luke the dream really is freaking you out".

"Yes, but it is just a dream, I never should have worried you about it".

"Luke I'm fine, lets have fun tonight, I love you"

"I love you more, see you soon", Luke hung up, and started to cry he yelled, Please God stop making me dream this horrible dream". He wiped the tears from his eyes, and ran and got dressed.

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Luke were soo cute and adorable together in this chapter. Poor Luke needs to stop having those nightmares about something bad happening to Reid. I just hope and pray that Luke's dream about Reid dying doesn't come true. I LOVE this story soo much.

Chapter 5

Luke got changed, and drove to Al's to meet Reid. He walked in seeing him sitting at the table. Luke walked over sitting down, and they both smile.

"I'm starving Luke lets order". They looked at the menu, and they both say they wanted a burger. Reid smiled, "Burger and Fries sounds like a plan". They ordered, and were drinking their soda's. Luke smiled, "How was your day Reid"?

"Ok, it is really depressing there with Chris being so weak. We need to get him a donor heart real fast Luke".

"Lets not talk about that Reid, lets just have fun today". The food came and they were eating, talking and Reid was cracking up jokes, that he thought was hilarious but Luke shook his head. Reid took some fries off Luke's plate, and he slapped his hand. "You have your own Reid stop it".

"Oh Luke you could lose a couple of pounds, so I thought I was helping". Luke started to laugh, "I'm overweight"?

"No, well your not fit like me, but that is fine". They both crack up laughing, and Reid smiled, "why don't you come to the Oakdale Memorial gym . We can work out together on my lunch hour sometimes. They have a sauna Luke, we can play".

'Oh nice Reid at the office, I don't think so".

"Oh your so boring Luke, you need to live a little. You never know when your time is up"?

"Oh Reid did you say that on purpose to bug me"?

"Oh no I didn't , I was just stating a fact". They both look at each other, than they finished eating. They paid the bill, and left Al's to go to the beach. They drove there parking the car, and were walking down by the water. They sat watching some baby ducks, while they just talked. They walked some more, and were walking down the boardwalk. Reid whispered, "Your quiet Luke what is wrong"?

"Nothing, I love moments like this, I miss us having fun".

"Fun, I miss it too". Reid started to run," race you to the bridge'.

They both ran, Reid was fast, Luke couldn't keep up to him. Luke finally got there, and Reid smiled, "I was going to send out a search party".

"Stop it, that almost killed me Reid, where did you learn to run that fast".

They sat on a bench, it was getting dark, so they decided to walk back to the car. They were driving home, Reid looked over at Luke, and they both laugh. "Reid stop staring at me, I'm driving, your driving me crazy".

"What I'm just looking"? Luke got to their house, and parked, and got out going up to the door. Reid opened the door, and Luke walked in. They took off their shoes, and coats. Reid grabbed Luke and they kissed. He touched Luke's face, "Oh tonight was fun, but we can have more fun upstairs". Luke smiled, as Reid ran upstairs, "Last one in bed, has to give the other a back rub". Luke yelled, "I will let me lock up". Luke was locking up everything, he walked to the stairs. Reid yelled, "Hurry up, my back is waiting Sexy". Luke smiled, as he ran upstairs, to Reid.

Cute update Jessie. Reid and Luke are soo cute and adorable together in this chapter. I hope that Chris gets a new heart soon. I don't want Reid to be the one to lose his life and donate his heart to Chris like he did on the show.

Chapter 6

Reid was getting a back rub from Luke he loved it. Luke laughed, "you are one spoiled guy Reid".

"You spoil me Luke, you must love me". Luke touched his face, bringing his lips to his, and they kiss. They made love tenderly, and were laying in each others arms, after. Reid fell asleep, Luke was afraid he would dream again. He eventually fell asleep, and within minutes, he was dreaming again. He was moaning and moving in his sleep, and woke up Reid. He sat up, hearing Luke crying out, and he knew he was having the same dream again. Reid was freaked out now, and woke up Luke hugging him. They both couldn't get back to sleep. The next morning, Reid said he was going to book an appointment with Sanda Morgan at the hospital, she was a psychiatrist, she would help Luke deal with his problem.

Luke agreed he needed to see someone. Reid made coffee, neither really wanted to eat, because they were tired, and really stressed out. Reid left for the hospital, and said he would call once he spoke with Sanda. Luke sat on the couch, he phoned work, and said he wouldn't be in. He remembered the dream, it always revolved around Chris, and a train. He got up changing, and went downstairs to do some laundry.

Reid went to see Sanda and asked her if she could see Luke today.

"What is wrong Reid your so pale"?

"My Partner Luke, and a good friend Katie, are having reoccurring dreams that I die"

"OMG Reid both of them"?

"Yes, it is now freaking me out, because I'm not ready to die yet".

"Something is triggering it, have you been ill"?

"No, I have been fine".

"Are you and Luke fighting, or did something happen that upset you both"?

"Not really, we both are upset about Chris. If he doesn't get a donor heart soon, he will die".

"I will talk to Luke, maybe 1 o'clock today I'm free".

"He will be here Sanda thanks". Reid left and called Luke to be at the hospital at 12. He said they could eat, and than go see Sanda"

"I will be there Reid, love you".

"Love you more Luke", Reid hung up, and went to work. He was finishing up some paper work, when Luke showed up. Reid looked at his watch. "Oh man right on time, lets go eat".

"Reid I'm so sorry, I know I'm upsetting you, but I can't help it".

"Hey , I know that, maybe Sanda can help you"

"I hope so you look so tired Reid".

"I am, I have to get sleep tonight, I can't come to work exhausted".

"Maybe I will sleep in the guest room"?

"No, you are not, don't be silly". They left to go eat, they brought their food to the table. Reid looked at the food, "Oh man this is so boring everything that is so good for me. I love my burgers, and hot dogs Luke".

"Eat that when I'm not around when I'm around healthy food for you". Reid smiled, "Deal". They finished , and went up to see Sanda. Luke was nervous, but Reid told him everything would be fine. Sanda called Luke in the office, and Reid hugged him. "You will be fine, she is the best, maybe she can help". Luke smiled, "Oh I hope so Reid, because this is taking a toll on both of us.
